We had the good fortune of connecting with Marina Barone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marina, what do you attribute your success to?
Honesty is the most overlooked solution and antidote to our problems. Society teaches us to be nice instead of real, reinforcing a life of pretense and creating relationships that are doomed to be unfulfilling and ultimately fail.
“The Happy Mind Method” is a lifesaver for my clients because it strips away the BS and shows them how to master their minds in a minute, fast-tracking them back to real happiness, making it the last stop they’ll ever have to make.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m known as “The Happy Mind Maker” because for over 30 years, I’ve shown prominent leaders, celebrities, and couples how to navigate conflict and get from mad to mellow in minutes with my trusted remedy, The Happy Mind Method, and today, I work with people on the brink of breaking up or breaking down.

The key to my success comes from my comfort with conflict.
You see, I grew up as a prisoner of my parents’ war; with no escape in sight, and saw firsthand that life under the influence of an untamed mind is filled with chaos, drama, and suffering. Because of my challenging past, I went on an out-of-the-box quest for a deeper meaning to life and to find a fast, infallible way to help people successfully navigate through the deluge of human emotions and harmful mental constructs, back to a place of peace and personal power.

As I mentioned before, honesty is the most overlooked antidote to our problems. When we stop lying, withholding & pretending, and tell the truth about what we think and feel, and uproot and resolve our resentments, true intimacy and the freedom to be ourselves emerge.

My mission is to skyrocket people’s communication confidence and give them what they’ve been searching for all along… a fast-track back to happiness.

Additionally, I am a Tomatis Method Practitioner, using sound therapies to enhance the brain, processing, listening, and vocal performance. My way of decompressing is singing. I love music and everything that pertains to the voice.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband, our animals, and helping our PBS-featured non-profit, An Act of Dog, that uses art to save shelter animals and Veterans.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Naples, Florida with year-round sunshine and lots of beautiful beaches. However, I’m not a traditional tourist; therefore, I would take them to my husband’s art studio to play with paint, buy some organic food, and make a healthy meal together. Next, a tour de force of all the small businesses, antique & consignment shops, and over to the arts district on Shirley Street. Sunset on the beach with some friends for good conversation and connection, and try out new restaurants that allow us that first experience together.
Of course, I would factor in their preferences, be it live music, theater, dancing, beach days, sailing, surfing, or spontaneous options.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
