We had the good fortune of connecting with Andy Rangel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andy, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The answer is in the question; ‘your own’. I didn’t necessarily get tired of making other people money, because they paid me for it and they paid me well.
I got tired of making other people money on other peoples terms.
Not only did I want financial freedom, which I had, but I also wanted personal freedom.
Personal freedom, what does that even mean?
That means when I FaceTime my family and my son says ‘Dada can you come home?’, I can leave the office and go see my son, no questions asked.
When my wife brings up a vacation, I say ‘book it’, no questions asked. I don’t have to request time off and hope it gets approved.
It means having full control of my life, and that is the best thing owning my own business has brought me.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Tint World Doral is the best automotive styling center in Miami, period. We hire the best technicians and use the best products. As a Yacht Broker, I focus on charters, local and worldwide. From a day charter on a 40′ yacht cruising the bay to a 150′ expedition yacht navigating the icy waters of Antarctica, I literally do it all. There isn’t a yacht experience out there that I can’t assist with. Caribbean, Mediterranean, even the Northeast in Canada, my access to yachts around the world is unparalleled.
