Hi Mariana & Camila, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It all began with the desire to move forward in a country full of opportunities.
We are Camila and Mariana, sisters of Colombian origin, and moving to the United States taught us something powerful: to put love, care, and respect into everything we do.
Since we were little, we dreamed of starting our own business. That dream was deeply rooted in our father’s story. As a child, he saw the struggles of his mother —our grandmother— raising several children on her own, and he decided to start working and building a business at a young age to help support them. From him, we learned that hard work filled with love can open doors.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
That’s how Fresh and Shining was born — a project built with heart, effort, and the belief that a clean space brings peace and well-being.

We offer a wide range of cleaning services, including:

More than just a cleaning company, we are two women committed to respect, honesty, and care. We create safe and welcoming environments for you, your loved ones, and even your pets — always using gentle, eco-friendly products and paying attention to every little detail.

We currently live in Miami here is not just a city—it’s a vibrant experience that blends the best of the Caribbean, Latin America, and the United States all in one place. With its crystal-clear beaches, sunny skies almost year-round, and an energy that’s impossible to resist, this city captures the hearts of everyone who visits or decides to call it home.

What makes Miami truly special is its rich cultural diversity. People from all over the world live here, especially from Latin American countries like Cuba, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Nicaragua, and many more. This cultural mix can be felt in every corner—in the languages spoken, the music played, and the traditions proudly celebrated.

The food scene in Miami is a true celebration of flavor. You can enjoy everything from authentic street tacos to a Colombian bandeja paisa, fresh ceviche, or an Argentine grill—all in the same neighborhood.
