We had the good fortune of connecting with Andry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andry, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I started My Dream Picnic & Events Miami, I wasn’t just starting a business, I was building a way to reconnect people through meaningful experiences.
The idea came to me during the COVID-19 lockdown, when we were all isolated, unable to reunite with friends and family. It was a time when many people couldn’t express love in the ways they were used to, no gatherings, no celebrations, no hugs.

I realized then how much we crave connection, and how powerful even a small, thoughtful gesture can be. I wanted to create a space where love could still be celebrated, even in challenging times.

As a Latina mom I poured my heart into building something that combined creativity, purpose, and emotional impact. That’s how My Dream Picnic was born, out of love!

Whether it’s a surprise proposal, an intimate birthday picnic, every setup is a chance to say “I love you, You matter.”

Because at the end of the day, what we remember most are the moments when someone made us feel loved.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My Dream Picnic & Events Miami is all about transforming ordinary moments into unforgettable memories. What sets us apart is the emotional care and personalization behind every single setup. We don’t just create events, we design experiences filled with intention, beauty, and meaning.

I’m most proud of how far we’ve come. I started this business after the COVID-19 lockdown with just a few supplies and a big vision. I taught myself branding, marketing, and logistics. I reinvested everything and trusted that each event would open new doors.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success is not about perfection, it’s about consistency, heart, and being willing to grow. I’ve also learned to surround myself with a team that shares the same love for excellence and service. Together, we’ve created hundreds of magical moments, from romantic proposals to surprise picnics and milestone celebrations.

What I want the world to know is that My Dream Picnic is built on love. If you’ve ever had a dream of doing something meaningful, or making people feel seen and celebrated, it’s possible. I’m living proof. You just have to believe in your vision, even before others do.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Miami for a week, I’d make sure they experience the best of what our city has to offer!

We’d start with a beach day at South Beach or South Pointe Park, followed by brunch at a local spot like GreenStreet Café in Coconut Grove. We’d explore Wynwood Walls, grab some street tacos, and enjoy the art scene.

One of the highlights would definitely be a sunset picnic at Miami Beach, styled by My Dream Picnic & Events Miami, of course! I’d create a dreamy setup right by the ocean with candles, music, and cozy vibes. The perfect way to show them the magic of Miami.

We’d also check out a rooftop for drinks in Brickell, and go for a boat ride.. It would be a week full of sunshine, good food, beautiful views, and unforgettable memories.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to my family , especially my son, who has been my biggest motivation and source of strength.

I also want to thank the amazing community of women entrepreneurs in Miami who continue to inspire and support each other.

A very special thank you goes to my incredible team, the hands behind every picnic and proposal we bring to life. Their creativity, dedication, and attention to detail make every event magical. I truly couldn’t do this without them.
