We had the good fortune of connecting with Romello Blade and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Romello, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I started United Blade Entertainment 2012, I was in the middle of a serious grind. I was running a separate business and working part-time jobs on the side just to keep everything moving. But even then, I never stopped writing. In fact, I wrote Gray People during that exact period.

I reached a turning point where I realized that if I truly wanted to bring my own projects to life, especially the complex psychological thrillers I was passionate about, I could not keep splitting my energy. I needed to build a vessel that gave me full control over my creative work from start to finish.

I created United Blade Entertainment to be that vessel. It was not just about starting a company; it was about building the infrastructure to green light myself. That decision is what allowed me to move from writing scripts on the side to developing a full franchise slate. This includes the expansion of the Gray People universe and my current project, the Covert Narcissist trilogy.

I stopped waiting for permission and started building the house where these stories could live.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
United Blade Entertainment is a production company built on the philosophy of full creative ownership and high level execution. What sets us apart is our focus on high stakes psychological storytelling and our ability to manage the entire lifecycle of a project from the first draft to final distribution. I am most proud of the fact that we do not wait for the industry to give us permission. We treat every project as a piece of intellectual property with long term franchise potential.

I got to where I am today through a decade of consistent output and collaboration. I wrote Gray People during a time when I was balancing multiple jobs and another business. Since then I have expanded my reach by serving as a co-producer and editor on the feature film Hostage. It was not easy but those experiences taught me that the most valuable asset a filmmaker has is their own library of stories and the technical skill to bring them to life. I overcame the obstacles by staying committed to the work and learning every facet of production and post production.

The biggest lesson I have learned is that discipline is the bridge between a good idea and a finished film. I want the world to know that United Blade Entertainment is here to deliver visceral and authentic narratives that challenge the audience. We are currently proving this with our development of the Covert Narcissist trilogy which represents the next evolution of our brand and our commitment to psychological depth in cinema.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting the area, I would keep the itinerary straightforward and focused on quality. We would start with a meal at The Corner for some really good pizza, wings, and salad. I would also take them to the Orlando Premium Outlets to walk around and shop. Since we are in the area, we would probably spend a day at Disney World, and if there happened to be a film festival in town, we would definitely hit that up to see what other creators are putting out.

I am not going to lie, Orlando has never really been a big nightlife or turn up city for me. I have always seen it more as a strategic place to focus and get work done. Showing someone around here is more about finding good food, shopping, and just chilling out rather than hitting a bunch of trendy hot spots. For me, the best part of being here is the ability to dial in on my projects and maintain the discipline needed to run United Blade Entertainment.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my children. They have been my greatest motivation throughout this entire journey. Being a filmmaker and an entrepreneur requires a lot of late nights and sacrifice, and their support is what keeps me grounded.

Everything I build with United Blade Entertainment is ultimately about creating a legacy for them and showing them that with enough resilience and discipline, you can own your narrative and bring your vision to life. They are the reason I keep pushing forward.
