We had the good fortune of connecting with Marc Rodriguez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marc, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
After five years working as a hospitalist nurse practitioner, I became deeply disillusioned with the conventional care model. I treated patients across the full spectrum—from stable individuals with simple complaints to the critically ill who remained intubated in the ICU for months. But over time, it became clear that the system prioritized metrics over meaningful care. Everything was about efficiency—how fast you could move through patients—not about actual healing or long-term outcomes.

That never sat right with me. I’ve always been the kind of provider who wants to pull up a chair, have a real conversation, and understand what’s actually going on in someone’s life. What I saw over and over again were patients stuck in a revolving door of chronic illness—receiving prescriptions and procedures but never the root-cause guidance they needed to truly improve.

That’s what sparked my decision to step outside the hospital and start my own wellness practice. I wanted to create a space where patients were truly seen, and where their healing wasn’t rushed, transactional, or reduced to a 10-minute visit and a discharge summary.

My initial focus was IV nutrient therapy—because what I discovered through my clinical research was that most people today are deeply nutrient-deficient. Our soil is depleted, our food quality has declined, and we’re bombarded daily with environmental toxins. That means our bodies require more nutrients than ever… and yet are absorbing less.

Functional medicine taught me that the earliest signs of disease often trace back to these nutritional deficiencies. And oral supplementation isn’t enough—especially when most people only absorb a small fraction of what they take in due to poor gut health. IV therapy allowed me to bypass the gastrointestinal system entirely and deliver high-potency nutrients straight into the bloodstream, where they’re 100% bioavailable and immediately accessible to the body’s cells.

Ultimately, I started this business because I believe people deserve real care. Not just “you’re fine” on a lab report or another pill, but true support that helps their body thrive—not just survive.

And I wanted to do it differently.

A lot of the existing market I saw was clinic-based. They’d get the client in the door, hook them up to a basic bag of fluids, maybe toss in one or two nutrients—and then everything else became an add-on.

But in the mobile setting, we’re already driving out to the client’s home. We’re going to be there for an hour. So my thought was: while we’ve got that IV catheter in, why wouldn’t we give their body everything it truly needs to function at its best?

That’s where our customized formulas came in. I worked with a PhD pharmacologist and a clinical nutritionist to develop comprehensive, therapeutic-dose IVs that not only support whole-body wellness, but also target the specific issue that brought someone to us in the first place.

Every bag has a powerful base backbone of nutrients that the body needs for healing, detox, and energy—plus additional nutrients tailored to specific goals. When you compare what’s actually in our IVs—both in terms of how many nutrients and the dosage levels—we don’t cut corners. We don’t follow the market’s “add-on” model. We deliver real, restorative care in one visit. These aren’t fluff bags—they’re loaded with milligram and gram-level doses of nutrients, not trace amounts. And if you were to compare bag-for-bag what’s actually inside, there’s really no comparison.

This is true concierge wellness. My goal wasn’t to create an upsell menu. It was to deliver the full spectrum of what the body needs to function optimally—right there, in one visit. We’re already in your home. We already have access to your vein. I wanted to make that time count by giving your body everything it needs to heal at a therapeutic level—not a watered-down version.

That was—and still is—the whole purpose behind Wellness IV: to create formulas that deliver what your body needs to heal. Concierge care that’s personalized, powerful, and designed to help you thrive.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Ah same as first question- really my brand story. It definitely wasn’t easy—but I don’t think it’s supposed to be. For me, it came down to habits, consistency, and the decision to keep going even when things got hard. I’ve always been someone who doesn’t quit just because something feels uncomfortable or overwhelming. I stayed committed, kept showing up, and didn’t let setbacks knock me off course. That level of determination—especially when most people would’ve walked away—is what got me here.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that it all comes down to how people feel. You can have the best protocols or products, but if your client doesn’t feel truly seen and cared for, it won’t matter. The businesses that thrive are the ones that go above and beyond—not just clinically, but emotionally. I’ve made it a point to provide the highest level of service I possibly can. I want every person we work with to feel like they weren’t just treated—but that they mattered.

That’s what keeps people coming back. Not just the results… but the experience.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In a city like Miami, that’s a tough question—there’s just so much to see and experience. It really depends on the person, their vibe, and whether they’ve been here before.

That’s the beauty of Miami—there’s truly something for everyone.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly, I’d have to give a big shoutout to Tony Robbins and Les Brown. There were moments on this journey where things just weren’t moving as fast as I hoped… where it felt like the vision was there, but the results weren’t catching up yet. And in those seasons, their words kept me going.

Their videos weren’t just motivation—they were reminders to stay committed, to keep showing up, and to believe in what I couldn’t see yet. Persistence, discipline, and consistency became my anchors.

So yeah, I owe a lot to those voices that showed up in my headphones when no one else could see the dream. They helped me hold the vision until it started becoming real
