We had the good fortune of connecting with Tatiana Godibadze and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tatiana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Ever since I was young, art has been a huge part of my life I studied it for years and always knew I wanted a career where I could express my creativity. Tattooing became the perfect combination of art, personal connection, and entrepreneurship.
My thought process in starting my own business was simple: I wanted the freedom to create without limits, to build a space where clients feel comfortable and inspired, and to set my own high standards for quality.
In my previous studio, I worked with over 10,000 clients, trained artists, and grew a team that felt like a family. Moving to the U.S. brought new challenges, but my vision stayed the same to keep evolving as an artist and to create tattoos that people are proud to wear for life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Art has been part of my life since childhood. I graduated from art school, studied at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, and explored different mediums before finding my true passion in tattooing.
What sets me apart is my ability to combine fine art techniques with the precision and permanence of tattoo work, creating large-scale black and grey pieces that are both bold and deeply personal for my clients.
My journey has not been easy. I started my studio completely on my own, working from a small apartment without even air conditioning or furniture. Every design I drew in those early days reminded me why I was fighting to build my own path.
Overcoming these challenges taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of trusting your vision, even when circumstances are against you.
Today, I want my name to stand for quality, creativity, and connection . Tattoos that carry meaning and last a lifetime.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting New York City, I’d start with a morning walk through Central Park, coffee in hand, enjoying the mix of nature and city energy. For brunch, we’d head to Sarabeth’s on Central Park South or Balthazar in SoHo.
We’d spend the afternoon exploring art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Whitney, followed by some vintage shopping in the East Village.
In the evening, I’d take them to a rooftop bar like 230 Fifth or PHD Terrace for skyline views before dinner at a great steakhouse or sushi spot, like Catch in Meatpacking.
Over the week, we’d explore Dumbo in Brooklyn for the iconic Manhattan Bridge view, take the Staten Island Ferry for a free view of the Statue of Liberty, and visit the High Line for a scenic walk.
For nightlife, I’d show them live music at Blue Note Jazz Club or a fun speakeasy like Employees Only. NYC has something for every mood ,from peaceful art mornings to vibrant nights out and I’d want them to experience that full spectrum.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my parents, who always believed in me even when times were extremely hard, and to my close friends who supported me during the toughest moments of building my studio from scratch. I’m also grateful to my clients, who trusted me with their ideas and allowed me to create art that will stay with them forever. Without their trust, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
