Meet Nelanie Turli | Model • Content Creator • Founder of Unbasic

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nelanie Turli and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nelanie, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
My projects have always been born from a place of love and healing. With The Bunny Yogi and The Kitty Yogi, my goal was to create spaces where people can pause, breathe and reconnect with their inner calm. I’ve seen how much anxiety and pressure our generation carries, and I wanted to bring softness back into people’s lives. Animals naturally open our hearts, yoga brings us presence and together they become therapy disguised as play. Beyond the classes, I see my work as a reminder that success is not only about numbers, it’s about the peace and joy we leave in others. For me, helping someone smile, feel safe, or even breathe deeper for an hour is already impacting the world in a quiet but powerful way.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work lives where wellness, fashion and creativity meet. I’ve modeled for international brands and walked runways, but what I’m most proud of is creating projects that carry both beauty and meaning. I run my own marketing agency where I help brands tell their stories with intention. The Bunny Yogi and The Kitty Yogi were born as playful, healing spaces where people can pause, breathe and reconnect and at the same time.
What sets me apart is that I don’t create for aesthetics alone, everything I do has soul. Behind each event, campaign, or photo there’s a story of resilience, faith and rebuilding. For me, art is not just something you look at, it’s something you feel. I want my work to always leave people with that sense of calm, beauty and inspiration.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m in a stage of my life where I really value spending time with myself, so I don’t go out as much as I used to. But the times I do, I love discovering new coffee spots, spending quiet mornings on the beach, and having dinner at Mandolin – it’s a Miami staple! One of my hidden gems is Sumak, a small Turkish restaurant and it’s my favorite food!
Other than that, I’m happiest ordering UberEats and watching movies at home. For me, Miami is about balance: a little glamour, a little soul and always creating space to just be.
Miami is home, but my favorite spot will always be the one where I find my calm.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My biggest shoutout goes to my partner and sister, Vicky. What started as a friendship blossomed through yoga, and together we became teachers and co-creators of this dream, The Bunny Yogi and The Kitty Yogi. Building it side by side has been one of the most inspiring parts of my journey, and I’m proud to call it a women-owned small business born from love and intention.
I’m deeply grateful to God for guiding every step, and to my family – especially my brother Paolo, who has supported me unconditionally along the way. This journey has been about love, faith and resilience, and I carry all of that into everything I create.
