We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaysalee Salcedo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaysalee, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
After earning my degree in Communication with a focus on film, public relations, and advertising, I knew entrepreneurship was my calling. I’ve always envisioned owning multiple businesses and building something of my own. When finding work after graduation proved challenging, I took it as a sign to create my own opportunities. To me, business is all about solving problems—and I recognized a gap in the music and entertainment industry that I could fill while building something profitable and meaningful.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
2 day weekend trip with Stellar <3

Both mornings we will wake up and go to yoga or the gym
Coffee from a local cafe (Unregular bakery is a good recommendation)

There is usually a pop up experience happening that we can check out while we explore and shop around NYC
Lunch at FOMA or happy hour at STK

One day we can go to an event or club to enjoy the NYC nightlife and the last night we can do an activity like paint & sip or axe throwing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people who deserve recognition in my story—each connection, through the highs and lows, has played a part in guiding me to where I’m meant to be. But I have to give a special shoutout to the person who’s been by my side since day one: my mother.

My mom, Joselyn, has been an essential part of my journey—not just personally, but professionally. From offering advice and emotional support to helping brainstorm ideas for my business, she continuously goes above and beyond. She’s my best friend, my number one fan, and my biggest motivator. I truly wouldn’t be where I am without her, and I dedicate this shoutout to her—for being the reason I continue to push forward and succeed.
