We had the good fortune of connecting with Serene & Coco Salinas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Serene & Coco, how do you think about risk?
Taking Risks has been an essential part of our success and ability to break barriers. Breaking away from a 9-5 schedule is always shocking and scary at first, it is like a safe blanket; but if we never take risks we will never see the other side of the Horizon of What Could Be. When we began our career together in 2015 Serene would have never thought to quit her 9-5 job and go for her dreams full time, once she did it was a liberating experience. She went from working 9-5 to completely freelance contractor with a steady flow of income through Hotel Performances and Cruise line Contracts. Coco on the other hand has been a freelancer ALL his life, he is a master of taking risks and using it for his advancement; working on Soap Operas, Theatre Performances, Television Performances and More all throughout Europe and the United States advancing his musical and acting career would have never taken place if he had not made the choice at twenty years old to leave Argentina on his own and go for his dreams with only a suitcase and his guitar. Risk took a big role in Serene’s and Coco’s life. Since then there has not been even a second of regret. Serene & Coco have now been featured on Television and Radio in Miami, FL and Philadelphia, PA. They received a Citation Award from the City of Philadelphia just last year and this year they were featured on “Actualidad Informativa” by Franklin Medrano through Telemundo Channel 62 and, they are about to get another feature this month! It has been a long hard working road for them and it has been well worth it. Follow us and stay tuned because there is more to come!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets us apart from others is our Unique Story, both individually and together. We are most proud of the fact that we never gave up no matter the odds against us, we are excited about what’s to come in our professional career both in Music and Acting. We sang in many Bars, Luxury Hotels, Cruises, Weddings, TV stations, Radio Stations and It was NOT easy, we faced many hurdles, some of which could have left us on the ground but we know we have a purpose and we choose to express it through Art, Our love for one another and our craft is what has kept us going until now even in the most darkest times. The lessons we have learned along the way; laugh even in hard times, be patient even when it is the most difficult thing to do, have no doubts about where you want to go and MOST importantly don’t lose Faith in yourself and the Universe. We want the world to know that our story is real… Love does exist and Overcoming the impossible is possible when you believe. Our brand stands out because it is founded on Love, Harmony and Peace, Working with others is our specialty. Our story began in Miami, FL in 2015 and our life has never been the same, When destiny and the stars align it will be evident, we took a risk in believing that our dreams could come true and once we took that leap we have never looked back.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friends were visiting the area I would take them to eat BRUNCH on Green Street and Coconut Grove and for Healthy eats I would take them to Pura Vida Miami. For drinks I would take them to El Bakan and the hangout spot would be Sugar in Brickell on the rooftop. Bayside for a long time was my go to place with family/friends, take a boat ride, listen to music, Oleta River State Park is also one of the fun spots, where you can go for a paddle boat ride, swim, have a picnic, go mountain biking or camping.
