We had the good fortune of connecting with Falicie Jean and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Falicie, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is, it’s perfectly okay to switch directions in your career or business. Nothing is in written stone. Self-Reflect and make changes when needed while evolving.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’ve always worked with children whether through being an educator, charity work with my husband through our organization (Kids N Touch Academy), and now as a School Counselor I provide counseling along with donated hygiene products, so why not create my own for kids, but perfectly fine for parents?
Hygiene products are nothing new, but tying it to Mood Swings makes our business My Mood Swings different! We want to offer children natural products that will help shift their moods and provide quality products which represents the idea that children hygiene products matters too. We are on phase one with our business and launched online (mymoodswings.com) on November 27th, 2020. As we continue to grow, new products will be created and a Social Emotional Program will be added to assist families and children with Mental Health.
Having ideas and executing them properly takes time, takes forgiveness and it’s definitely a task to give anyone credit for because bringing ones dream to life is not an easy task. Challenges that arise were faced head on and even though the feelings of disappointment creeped in, I had to continue to press forward. We want the world to join the #intaswing family and try our products to help shift their mood on a bad day. Follow us on Instagram @moodswingkids and on Facebook @Mymoodswings.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ready, set, IPIC we would go. I love movies and having something delicious to eat with a great ambiance. Combine all three, and IPIC is the place that will be added on the itinerary. If a concert or a restaurant with live performances are available that must be added as well. Cooking Classes and or a Painting Class will give us a chance to create. Relaxation is always needed, so squeezing in a spa day is a must. Catching up through a conversation at park or a nice brunch venue will definitely be a plus and a day of doing absolutely nothing is perfectly fine.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
BIG SHOUT OUT, to my husband Snyder who’ve have always seen more within me. He encourages me to keep going no matter how the situation may look. An additional SHOUT OUT goes to my two amazing children Ohmari & Sage, because of them, they push me to be a better person each day. Each and every one of them inspire me to challenge my doubts and a great part of my daily canvas of art called life. The last shout out, goes to everyone that who supported me through charity work and or business venture, THANK YOU!
