We had the good fortune of connecting with Ketline Bazile and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ketline, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from Nassau, Bahamas. I migrated to Miami, Florida, when I was five years old. My parents divorced because of infidelity when I was 12 years old, and that’s when my life turned for the worst, at least my teenage years. My mother left my father because she couldn’t endure his betrayal, so my church-going family of 6 turned to 5 just like that. Shortly after, my father moved his mistress in with us and what was already a bad situation turned into a worse situation, he married her, and my siblings were like the outcasts.

We endured mental abuse from my stepmother, and she said horrible things about my mother and terrible things about my siblings and i. that we would be high school dropouts get pregnant early and be nothing in life,. When my siblings and I found out that my mother was in prison and then shortly after that, she was deported back to the Bahamas; the verbal abuse from my stepmother got worst to the point that she said my mom is a lesbian because that’s what women turn to when they are in prison.

Mentally, I could not take the verbal abuse to the point for several months; I contemplated suicide. I was so tormented. I just wanted my mommy back. Finally, my stepmom told my father she didn’t ask for all these kids. He had to choose her or us his kids, and for a couple of weeks after she left, it looked like my father decided us, but it didn’t last cause he gave us a story that he was looking for work and would be back in 2 days, but my father did not return for several months. We had to fend for ourselves while he was gone; we had to lie to the landlord when he would come and ask for the back rent money. But long story short, when I turned 21, I had rededicated my life back to christ things changed for the better I learned to forgive my mother, father, and stepmother. I went back to high school, graduated and registered for college, and went into the interior design field, and then to real estate.

I realized that all the while, I went through some hardship, but all in all, it made me the strong, devoted, God-fearing woman you see today. I own my own coaching and public speaking business (Ketline’s Corner LLC) and just opened my own real estate firm called (Royal Corner Realty, Inc.) I am the youth and young adult’s director in my church: a wife, mother, and minister of the gospel.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My real estate business, The real estate market is very competitive but what sets me apart from the rest is that I genuinely want the very best. I pray with them, I’m a listening ear to them and I’m patient with their issues and I take pride that after every sale s client turns into a friend.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The itinerary would look like this: going to my favorite breakfast spot in Miami called Blue Collard; they have the best shrimp and grits in Miami. Then take her to Wynnewood to see all the arts and craft shops and Design Districts. Take her to my favorite steak restaurant, which is Red, located in South Miami. Visit my church and enjoy a Sunday family dinner. Go to sawgrass mall, which is one of the largest malls in Florida. have a picnic, and reminisce on the good old days. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank my husband of 24 years of marriage this July. My husband has been my greatest and number one supporter from the time since I met him. And secondly, my kids that is my why in life and my family who is my back bone and My church family who keeps me accountable to my faith. And finally, I want to give a big Shoutout to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who is responsible for who I am! Only by the grace of God that I am the woman I am today.
