We had the good fortune of connecting with Kylie Venezia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kylie, how do you think about risk?
Risk is ever-present in our lives; however, we always have a choice. We can choose to stay tucked under the blanket of comfortability or we can choose to leap with the intrinsic knowingness that the net will always appear. Personally, I choose to view risk-taking positively and as a necessity in growing in business and in life in general. To be fair, this has not always been my belief. After earning my Bachelors degree in psychology, I knew that I would have to continue in school to obtain a degree that allowed me to be free financially and in my career. I went on to earn my Masters in Forensic Psychology and then entered into a Doctorate program with the intention of becoming a licensed psychologist. Although my passion in the field had been waning for years, I kept continuing in school because I thought there was no other way to succeed in the path that I had chosen. I already invested close to a hundred thousand dollars and almost a decade of my life to my schooling. I came to the realization that I kept continuing in school because it was a way for me to focus on my studies and not be stuck sitting in an office all day. Earning my Doctorate meant I was smart, it meant I was credible, and it was something society looked highly upon. But finally, I decided life is too short to focus on something that doesn’t set my soul on fire. So with thousands in student loan debt, I faced my fears, quit my program, and invested in myself. I invested another $10,000 to start my own Kangen water business although I had no previous entrepreneurial experience and it was the best decision I could have made. That risk opened the floodgates to a world that was completely new to me. It opened my mind and forced me to believe in myself again. Taking risks becomes a practice and is truly like strengthening a muscle. In the beginning there is so much fear and doubt but once you shift your mindset, the world opens up. If it feels right, take that leap every time. Take that risk every time. You will come to know and trust that you are in complete control of your future.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a Kangen water distributor I sell a medical grade, in-home water ionizer that changes our bodies from the inside out. Kangen water is electrolyzed reduced, performance enhancing water that not only produces drinking water, but also produces 5 types of alkalized, ionized water with 7 custom pH levels that has over 100 uses. As a Kangen water distributor I give individuals and businesses the opportunity to have this water in their lives while also mentoring other freedom seekers who believe that there is more to life than sitting in an office from 9-5 and being chained to societal standards of what a business or career traditionally looks like. I was able to overcome my fears and dive head first into the world of entrepreneurship by simply trusting that I could change course and forge a new path for myself. That decision did not come easily. I overcame the fear and doubt by believing and knowing there was more to life than the path that has been traditionally laid out for us. I was not willing to compromise on the freedom I always wanted in life. I’ve learned that in order to have something you’ve always wanted, you need to do things you have never done and that lesson has dictated many of the choices that I make on a daily basis. It is so important to continue to strive for things that may make us uncomfortable in the beginning in order to grow and to believe in yourself whole-heartedly every step of the way.

First and foremost I would like to give credit to my parents who have always supported my decisions and provided constant encouragement along the way. I would also like to thank my business partner and one of my closest friends, Sara Hill, for continuously reminding me that I am a power house of manifestation and always encouraging me to follow my biggest dreams.
