We had the good fortune of connecting with Nora Villalobos and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nora, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
I think a lot of people don’t realize how much time social media actually takes, and I’m totally not complaining! It’s fun, but sometimes it does feel overwhelming when there’s stuff that has to be done and it has a timeline. Other then that it’s super fun I enjoy, but it is super time consuming, and I feel like if I had a full time or even part time job aside from my social media jobs I would not be able to do everything that I do.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a content creator on social media. I love creating fun and exciting content that entertains people. I’m proud of all the content I have made over time, it definitely has been a lot. I always get excited about creating new content, and hope to improve over time. In the future I wanna have a space where I can customize to my aesthetic, that will compliment my videos and the content I make! I think it wasn’t easy, it was a lot of hard work at first finding what worked for me, but I got to collaborate with a lot of people and then just having multiple social media’s and staying active on them has helped a lot too! There’s sometimes where I’m not growing, or making much money, but I just do my research and reach out to see what opportunities there is out there for content creators, but I would say my best contracts have came from the brands reaching out to me directly to create content for them. I learned that this is a slow and steady process, but that If you are consistent and enjoy what you do you will grow, and the opportunity’s will come! I want them to know that I been doing this for years and I have so much more goals to achieve and I’m grateful for all my supporters, for being there along the way!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There’s so many fun spots to visit around the area! Unfortunately with Covid-19 that’s impossible. So I’ll make this itinerary covid friendly! Monday – Take them to the mall to get some Boba it’s called Rabbit Rabbit Tea their boba is my favorite!! It’s not too sweet and hang out at a nice park. Tuesday- Take them to get Tostilocos at a Mexican shop. They are so delicious. Wednesday – Take them on a day trip to San Francisco there’s many fun spots to check out. I love this rooftop called Chairmen’s rooftop which you need a reservation it is pricy, but totally worth it! You get a beautiful view of the city! I also would take them on a walk of the Golden Gate Bridge. Thursday- I would go back to San Francisco and take them to Pier 39 it’s very touristy, but it’s a must do! Friday- Go to the Drive-Ins and get yummy snacks before we go! Without covid this list would have looked very different!!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shout-out to my mom! She’s my #1 supporter, always supporting what I do. I’m so grateful to have a mom like her who truly cares for her family and is willing to do anything for me.
