We had the good fortune of connecting with Maria Florio and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maria, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business helps the world and communities by supporting the individual’s self-empowerment journey. They take this journey through the inspiring human potential content that is distributed online, on different sites that Event Guardian Angel Planner is the umbrella company of, and in a variety of mediums from blogs to podcasts to online courses and videos. The content mentors and guides individuals to become leaders in their own life and within their own communities and in the world. They acquire information regarding humanities and social sciences, philosophy with a focus on existentialism, and the basics of neuroscience, physiology, and biology in a way that guides their self-empowerment journey, personal development choices and inner growth mindset. They also acquire an applicable use of this information for dealing with day-to-day matters; the unknown, unexpected and unwanted in life; and all that brings emotional upheaval. They learn how to stay centered in their heart and focus on their tangible options in these moments without the need to react defensively thanks to applying empowerment from within. As they are guided through the information to achieve inner harmony, neutrality and impartiality, they transcend into a space that holds unconditional love towards themselves and the external (whether it be person or event), which allows them to evaluate everything from a place of flow and it is this skill that brings about an effective and attentive mind that can contemplate next steps clearly while also being emotionally empathic in all their communication efforts, no matter the dynamic at hand or the people involved.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I picked ‘Other’ because what I do goes beyond my entrepreneurial and professional career as a business owner, online marketer and inspiring human potential mentor and content creator. What I do builds and creates a community of inspiring human potential empowering leaders; individuals that pursue inner growth and follow their heart in a way that leads them to self-empowerment from within, that allows them to believe in themselves, to be themselves and to lead others in the same way. This is one of the things I am most proud of. I am also proud to know that through the self-empowerment journey I guide my community on, that I lead them to a path of unconditional love and neutrality towards themselves and others in the world through their actions and communication efforts. I got here professionally speaking by never giving up on unconditional love and human potential. It was not easy. It was not easy as the rest of the world kept telling me that I shouldn’t believe in either. That humanity does not have the ability to hold unconditional love and/or neutrality in their hearts. That “evil” prevails in the potential and interactions of humanity. Never for a second did I listen and never for a second did I give up on unconditional love and the infinite potential humanity holds within their hearts; not even when “evil” presented itself in my life, personally and professionally, through spitefulness, deception and lies of those closest to me. I got here because I chose to bring love to everything and to find the growth from every life experience, which I still do. I got here because I was never afraid to be myself, to be completely transparent and genuine in every single way, personally and professionally. Above all, I got here because I never, ever, ever gave up on love and humanity, and never will. The lessons I learned are that if you listen to your heart and trust it, it will always guide you well. I learned that life will never, ever let you down when you fight with love for you and everybody (nobody left behind). I learned that all your dreams do come true, as long as you believe in yourself and persevere in what you stand for and what you want to achieve in life. Everything I do and that my brand stands for involves the infinite higher human potential and the building of a community of inspiring human potential empowering individuals and leaders.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend visited, I would plan out our Miami itinerary so that they could enjoy the beach, food, some down time, and appreciate the arts and culture too. Here is the itinerary I would propose to them (and if they approved this is the way we would spend our week together): Day 1 – Coconut Grove: Visit Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, maybe the Miami Science Museum too and lastly stroll CocoWalk for shopping and dining. Day 2 – Coral Gables: Visit Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, Venetian Pool, Lowe Art Museum, and end with Merrick Park. Day 3 – South Beach: Visit the Art Deco Historic District, stroll Ocean Drive and then head to Collins Avenue for Italian food. Day 4 – Calle Ocho, Little Havana: Cuban food at La Carreta or Versailles and some beach time at Homestead Bayfront Park before or after Calle Ocho, Little Havana. Day 5 – Key West: Stay overnight so we could spend a day and a half there to bar hop, stop in at the famous Hog’s Breath Saloon, see the sunset at Mallory Square, stop at Key West Shipwreck Museum and visit the historic Old Town without rushing through it. Day 6 –Stop by the Dolphin mall to shop and dine at the Hard Rock Caffe in Biscayne Boulevard, Miami. Day 7 – Stop at the Falls mall in Kendall and then relax at home for the evening.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate my Shoutout to the one person without whom I would not be here or be who I am: my mother, Annagrazia Rimonti. She deserves more than just a little credit for who I am, my successes, and where I am in life. Everything she has taught me about what type of person to be, how strong to be, and how nothing can ever stop you from achieving your goals if you preserve with kindness, love, tenacity, and respect of everyone and everything involved, has guided me to this place of today.
