We had the good fortune of connecting with Raiso Tai and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Raiso, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
Hello! My goals I want to reach by the end of my career is, to be an inspiration to others, become financially stable for the future lifestyle that i want, to help my family gain wealth & to give back to less fortunate people.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Something that sets me apart from others is my desire to be successful at a young age. Since I was 12 I knew that I was destined to become a wealthy independent person, but I didn’t know how. Since the age of 12 i’ve been very passionate about rapping but I never took it serious until I turned 15 & decided that I should start releasing music. Through out the years i’ve been experimenting with different things such as doing hair, taking photos, drawing/painting, making videos for youtube & writing music. One day the idea came to me, that i should use my talents to make myself money. With me taking photos of myself so often, I found the interest of becoming a model. I always receive many compliments on my style & photos so I know I have a chance of accomplishing that goal. Same thing goes with doing hair, drawing/painting & rapping. Many people on social media has sent me positive messages about my music, art & hairstyles. Those kind words let me know I have a huge chance of blowing up my career. Eventually I would love to sell my art, become a hairstylist & become a well known rap artist. I also use my youtube channel as another way to brand myself, I genuinely enjoy recording & editing videos for my channel. Along the way of my journey i’ve come across a few obstacles, one of them being self doubt. I tend to overthink things at times & that causes me to be hard on myself about everything that i do. It also causes me to be afraid of stepping outside of the box, I feel as if people will judge me. Even though, most of the time when I do step out of the box I receive positive feedback. One thing I have learned from this journey is to live in your truth & do whatever makes you happy as long as it doesn’t hurt others. There was a time in my life where I just wanted to fit in with others. During that time I did things that wasn’t apart of my character. After I got older & more mature, I realized I do not have to fit in with anyone. Realizing that made me more happier as a person, life totally changed for me. I didn’t worry about what others think of me that much. One thing I would want the world to know about me is how far i’ve come & how far i’ve still got to go til I reach my goals. Battling depression & childhood trauma is not a beautiful sight, it is made me very independent. I want my story to inspire others to chase their dreams.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spots in Miami would have to be Topgolf for entertainment & The Licking for food. Topgolf is a place where you & a group of your friends can go golfing, to me it is very enjoyable. Also The Licking is a dine in restaurant that serves soul food & plays the latest music. The scenery is also beautiful.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My grandmother has played a huge part in helping me elevate as a person. She’s the person that always motivates me to do better & to try new things. She listens to my ideas & understands where I am coming from completely.
