Meet Justin Hoyte | Founder & Producer of No Weak Opinions

We had the good fortune of connecting with Justin Hoyte and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Justin, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
No Weak Opinions came from the mindset of feeling alone. Each of us on the team, have experienced various forms of rejection for living outside of stereotypes. We never truly fit in because of our interests in music, foods, or activities. Being called passive aggressive names such as “Oreo” or “gringo” led to a lot of self denial and rejection until finally, we embraced who we are. After experiencing the happiness and joy in self love/confidence, we came up with No Weak Opinions to challenge each person to be proud & confident in who they are and become a catalyst to ignite that same inspirational spark in others. We do not see being different as a negative, but instead, beautiful.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am truly excited to see who all we meet and learn from on this venture. At first it was challenging to learn how to speak to random people but with practice and a few reads (How to talk to anyone by Neil Lowndes) we’ve been able to get this down and make it fun! I will definitely say that though this was not easy……it was worth it. Why? Because we believe that life is about more than just us alone, therefore giving our past hardships value to help guide others. There were a lot of dark days but with the desire & determination to get back up, refocus, and keep going…..there was no challenge we could not overcome. One lesson that I think it’s safe to say we both have learned is to stop self doubt. We all are capable of so much we just have to take that time to feed our creativity. Go take that nice 30 minute walk without your phone, travel somewhere new, or go speak to that person at the park! All of which may spark your creativity!!! From myself and No Weak Opinions, we want you to know that you exist for a reason, we may not know what it is right at this moment but once you figure it out just know that others will be inspired by you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Okay so I am a person who loves bullet points so below is how we are approaching this week! 1. We are grabbing Bulgogi bowls from Bap Bistro in Sunrise
2.Get some cardio miles in at Fort Lauderdale beach
3. As Cliche as it is, we are going to Wynwood but only for Taco Stand and those Mar y Tierra Fries😋
4. Is it Miami if we didn’t touch up on Bayside to get Fat Tuesdays and stop by the Miami Heat?
5. Making moves to Glitch Arcade Bar🎮 in Fort Lauderdale for their John Wick drink or the Hub which is right across the street for the vibes.
6. We have to pay visit to Yellow Green Farmers Market for some of that famous Bang shack dip!😫

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Internally, I really want to shout out my business partner & Co-Founder of No Weak Opinions Alvaro Valiente for being the amazing open minded backbone this non-profit venture needs. Externally, I don’t know where I would be if not for my role model Will Smith. The ability to genuinely learn from others and love life is perspective that was sparked by him.
