We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaliyah Nobles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaliyah, how do you think about risk?
I believe that taking risks is an essential part of life. You cannot move through life without taking risks or making risky decisions. I think that great reward comes with taking risks. It is often said that the greater the risk, the greater the reward. I completely stand by that statement. I believe that taking risks can propel you to achieve the greatest success. Personally, taking risks has changed my life for the better. Just about every time that I have had to make a risky decision, I came out a better woman on the other end of it. Throughout my life, I believe that the risky choices that I’ve made have pushed me to wonderful experiences. The biggest risk that I have taken up to this point was starting my business late last year. While making the choice to become an entrepreneur was a risky and difficult choice, I have never been happier. I feel extremely blessed and fulfilled to have a business that helps women look and feel confident, and I enjoy leaving an impact on women and being an inspiration to many.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business, Juiced by Jaliyah, is a handmade cosmetics business. Juiced by Jaliyah caters to women that are struggling with lip health and are looking for a healthy, refreshing solution to common lip care problems. We specialize in creating handmade lip glosses that heal dry, and chapped lips by repairing the skin on the lips and conditioning, hydrating, and moisturizing the lips. Our handcrafted lip care products combine a practical and much needed solution with the sexy flair of cosmetics. Our mission is to help as many women as possible improve their lip health so that they can look and feel their best. It has taken lots of research and resources to get to where I am today. I also have my amazing customers and community to thank. It has not always been easy, but I would not change anything. I feel extremely blessed to have found my purpose and I am blessed to have been able to help so many women already. I have learned many important lessons – business-wise as well as personally. I have learned things about myself and I have learned some amazing things from my business mentors and my community that I can’t wait to pass on. One main thing that I have learned is never give up: even when things get rough, remember that you are here for a reason. My goal is to help women look and feel confident in their skin, and I have been in their shoes so I know exactly how they feel. My brand is a welcoming atmosphere where everyone is loved and appreciated, and we try to help everyone that comes across our brand.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit me for a week, I definitely have a few places that I’d immediately take her. We would definitely eat at Longhorn Steakhouse. Longhorn is one of the best steakhouses in West Palm Beach; the food is always amazing. We would probably also explore downtown Clematis. We would go to Loft to enjoy some exciting nightlife, and we would eat breakfast at Southern Kitchen the next morning. We would also go to the beach, and Mulligan’s for the most delicious margaritas and some good comfort foods.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would not be where I am today without my loving mother, Sylvia. She has always pushed me to follow my dreams and explore my passions. She is also a budding entrepreneur. Also, I am so thankful to my supporters. There would not be Juiced by Jaliyah without my loving customers and community that consistently supports and inspires me.
