We had the good fortune of connecting with Mariah Sambataro and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mariah, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
In starting my business, thinking of its purpose was a relatively simple task. I wanted to impact lives by educating people about the healing properties of plants, taking self-care into a daily practice, and how to apply this new knowledge to every aspect of life.

Our planet and our humanly bodies are made to heal naturally. We help people gain the confidence to hold their health into their own hands. Impacting lives by giving the knowledge and confidence needed to start mindful practices so then soon it becomes second nature rather than a second thought. Using nature’s herbs to help in everyday situations like using lavender for minor cuts, cooling essential oils for sore muscles and everything in-between.

Nowadays, we tend to live in fear of the unknown, especially when it comes to our own body’s health. With natural healing, you know exactly what’s going into your body versus the potentially dangerous chemicals contained in commercial products. We drive ourselves crazy with the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Slowing down and making small, wise decisions for our bodies can ground and center us by implementing mindful movements and practices. Teaching people to be in the now.

Also educating folks on how important self-care can be for every aspect of life between the mind, the body, the home, the relationships we build, and in spirituality.
We have both a home and body line, so people can make the switch to sustainable herbal care one product at a time!
It takes time to unlearn old beliefs and learn new ones when it comes to knowing what is best for ourselves. Do what works best for you and your family by following your intuition.

We hope to see a world where everyone can practice this daily rather than a last-minute quick effort to heal the mind, body, and soul.

We are happy to serve and are always open to questions about herbal healing, our products or in self-care in general.
Thank you for being here.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Sharing yourself can be extremely personal and daunting especially when you’re creating something for people to use and enjoy. What sets MoonStruck apart is simply because, I myself, add a little piece of me with every packaged product. Which can be very challanging for some to be so open and personal when it comes to a brand. It is not easy being vulnerable and my best piece of advice is to work through limiting beliefs that you can’t do it simply because you do not contain the knowledge or power. You as yourself can do anything imaginable. However nothing comes for free, I’ve learned ( the hard way) that you have to dedicate work and time into your craft/art. Not everything you have until you’re depleted, but enough to where you feel good about yourself and your outcomes. Simply put, if it doesn’t give you joy or it doesn’t fill you up don’t do it. If you gain much joy from it, keep going, don’t give up, and set mindful goals and practices for yourself along the way! I want everyone to know that healing the mind, body, and soul takes loving practice for yourself and others. I woke up one day and decided to follow my passion, a feeling I had for a long time I had that I wanted to help people in their self-care journey and by doing so I found much fulfillment and joy!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First day would definitely be the traditional going to Publix for a couple of “pub subs” and hitting the local beach. Dinner and drinks at Brick & Barrel in Abacoa is A MUST, they have amazing food and craft cocktails !
Live music over at Guanabanas . Topside on Love St has a breathtaking view of our Jupiter Lighthouse and yummy tiki themed drinks.
Abacoa town center is a local favorite area with plenty of things to do and eat. Habourside is a close second.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
So many people to thank, first off my partner in life who supports me and my decisions for our family. I wouldn’t be anywhere if it wasn’t for him! Books by Michael Castleman who wrote Blended Medicine and Herbal Healing my go to for all things for healing, Melody Beattie who writes Journey to the Heart, my daily motivation and meditation support.
Some of my many friends and fellow business owners who support me and motivate me to learn and grow like the wonderful lady who shouted me out before Angelina who owns Fleuressence, my close friend Kerstyn ( @passionateplantshop_) who has such a sweet soul and is constantly supporting my page and products.
Some other small business I’d love to share recognition with is Smoking Cauldron New Age & Metaphysical Shop for sharing her resources with me, my old boss at Salon Aquatica Trish Brown for mentoring me and giving me a place to work when I was figuring it all out and finally, Tiffany Carter from projectme_with_tiffany a business couch who I’ve learned so much from between her podcast and amazing content she puts out for everyone to learn and grow from, I get a lot from her and when I stumbled upon her instagram is was a complete blessing!
