We had the good fortune of connecting with Ricky Gallart and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ricky, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Entrepreneurship is the wave of the future. Within the next ten years, artificial intelligence and automation will replace a significant percentage of our jobs. I think that many people seeking meaning and purpose in their lives will look for guidance from a higher power. That’s where the tarot comes in as a tool for communication with what I call Spirit, although it is known by many names. When I discovered the tarot, the archetypical themes immediately captured my imagination and sent me on a journey of self-discovery and healing. I fervently studied and read all the tarot books I could, but I never imagined my passion could turn into my career.

A few years ago, I stumbled upon a community of tarot readers on YouTube offering their talent to guide people. I immediately felt called to start my own YouTube channel named “Tarot Magician”. Within a year and a half, I have amassed 9,570 subscribers on YouTube and established a thriving business. It did not come easy and required a lot of research, planning, and discipline.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I believe that if you love what you do, you will not work a day in your life. I deeply resonate with this motto and it has guided me down the path of entrepreneurship. Throughout my life, I have held 18 private-sector jobs and all left me feeling depleted and uninspired. You can either allow others to dictate how much your time is worth and exert control over your life or you can decide to live your life on your own terms, I wanted the freedom to choose what I do with my time and I am blessed to be doing something I am passionate about. The quote by Mark Twain comes to mind: “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” My journey to entrepreneurship has not been easy and there were many failures before I prevailed. The biggest lesson I have learned is to keep trying, keep reaching for your dreams. You can’t wait for it to fall down from the sky because it takes hard work and commitment to learn and grow within your field.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Miami is a city like no other. Everything from the vibrant colors, lively people, and delicious food draws you in, You can’t leave Miami without experiencing authentic Cuban cuisine that can’t be found in any other state. One of the most iconic restaurants is La Carreta on La Calle Ocho but you can find good Cuban food on almost any corner. One of my favorite spots is El Caribe Restaurant for its delicious food and warm employees. Biscayne Beach is a great place to unwind, get some sun, and enjoy the ocean views, Sometimes I’ll go there just to sit and look at the ocean.

During baseball season, you can’t miss going to Lone Depot Park to catch a Marlins game. I’m a huge fan.

I would like to dedicate my shout-out to my beautiful wife, Natalie. If it wasn’t for her love and support I would not have the success I am experiencing today. She has been a tremendous help, working behind the scenes to grow this business.
