We had the good fortune of connecting with Tania Dance and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tania, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My mom. I grew up watching her have her own business and start a company. She was the pure force behind me starting my business. I have always had a passion for nails and my mom helped with that obsession. I would paint any nails around including my dolls when I was younger. I always knew I would do nails in some form or fashion. If I never started I knew I would never be happy.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Plush and Pressed Nails is exciting to build as a business. I love doing nails so I have affordable luxury customizable sets for any occasion. Not only do I have sets on the website but take custom orders via email at plushandpressednails@gmail.com.

Making press ons is convenient for the client as they get an opportunity to have a unique experience and get a fresh set that has a salon finish. I work with only quality so vegan nail polishes, gel nail tips, professional preparation of the nail and a nail kit with instructions to make them last. Also press on can be reusable and I add a hand sugar scrub for a hand soak. Me time is essential in anyone’s life. You must find time to pamper yourself and most neglect themselves so anything I do will require you to take time for yourself!

What sets me apart having a superpower is there is only one me. Only one you so be creative and have fun with what you are doing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am very spontaneous so planning is cute in hindsight but not my reality. A great week is always going to the beach and heading to the bars. Pretty plain but the beach, bars, and any restaurant we come across is the go to every time. Its also different every time.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My MOM! I could not even be allowed to dream if she didn’t nurture it. Watching her start a company to then having her own business is inspirational and it allows you to see nothing less for yourself. When everyone else did not believe, my mom did. Believed in me more than I did myself.
