Meet Irene Guerrero | Co-Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Irene Guerrero and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Irene, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Holy Crab’s stone crabs are sourced daily from the Florida Keys and are served with our homemade mustard sauce and branded wooden mallet.
Aside form being delicious, stone crabs are sustainable and so is our packaging made out of 100% recycled material. You can eat well and help conserve the planet all at the same time!
We pride ourselves with working with local fisherman to bring our customers sea to the table” excellence.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Aside from Holy Crab, I am a fundraiser for a rare genetic disease called that effects lung and/or liver in kids and adults. I have a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Miami that has helped with everything from managing finances to employees.
Last season Holy Crab worked with donating back proceeds for different organizations as well as participated in silent auctions for galas. I can appreciate the importance of giving back because of my background in the nonprofit sector!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
You can’ never have enough days in Miami! When family or friends from out of town come to visit I love to take them to the four main parts of Miami (in my opinion) Miami Beach, Wynwood/ Brickell, Calle ocho and Coral Gables!
The perfect day would include stopping at Holy Crab headquarters in MKT Kitchen (in Coral Gables) getting snacks and drinks and having a picnic in Key Biscayne to watch the sunset and devour some stone crabs!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom, Irene Sr.!
My mom was generous to share with me her name with me as well as her entrepreneurial passion. She runs her own accounting firm and was a huge inspiration and support in following my dreams.
Holy Crab was started because of our love for stone crabs and the idea of brining people together during the pandemic in the comfort and safety of their homes . We are so excited for the next season that starts October 15, 2021!
Holy Crab prides itself on serving the freshest stone crabs as well as customer service. Please check out our website where you can select local pickup in Miami or Nationwide shipping. You will also see we have been mentioned by many reputable news source as well as participated in the South Beach Food and Wine Festival.
