We had the good fortune of connecting with Danittza Zimic and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danittza, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I truly believe people should embrace their God given gifts and pursue a career in what they love most to do. It feels like they are loving daily instead of working daily, big difference.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I feel that what sets us apart from all the other designers or brands is that we make clothing for the women of today. Our fit is everything to us, next is the versatility our garments have and last is our quality. We take great pride in making our line in the US even though it’s not that cost efficient, we believe in our community and a strong sense of helping each other out. Creating jobs for us is our main focus alongside great design and amazing fabrics. Our brand is bold, classy and sexy all at the same time. Handpicked and handcrafted with an eye for detail that sets us apart from the rest. We scream Miami and our bright hues sets us apart
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First thing I would take them to the beach, for sure! What is Miami without going to the beach.
Next I would take them to eat ceviche, since I’m Peruvian there are so many options here that will tantalize their taste buds. I love to host and also to dine and wine. A place chill to have a great time. One of my favorite places is Zuma and then a little dancing afterwards
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Listening to your higher self, the universe and the creator I feel for me has accomplished everything. Since a young age I was instilled a very spiritual upbringing. My grandma Nelly was my mentor, my encourager, my confidant, my motivation, I can always count on her for a word of wisdom when things might not be as smooth and I would have liked them to be. She was my biggest supporter, a shoulder to cry on when I felt like I wanted to quit, my light and shining star that taught me strength, resilience, class. She celebrated my accomplishments and had the perfect advice when I needed it, always on my corner, always humble even though she was one of the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. She was always with a smile, funny and happy all the time… my daughter takes a lot from her. So very blessed and thankful to have had such and inspiration as a guiding light.
