We’ve shared some of our conversations on the topic below.

Coco Response: I was in a completely different industry and career direction, but I decided to do what I love and at the same time work for myself. To be completely honest I have always been quite good with time management, so I don’t believe my work life balance has changed as much throughout the years. Work Life balance is an everyday struggle! My perspective has definitely changed since starting my own business but it’s something that I work on everyday. I’m learning how to shift my time and create boundaries between home life and work life. I hardly had time to do anything for myself before it was time to clock back in. When I made the decision to quit and start freelancing, I had so much free time, I didn’t know what to do with it. I was feeling just as unbalanced, but on the opposite side of the spectrum. Once work started picking up, I got myself a planner, started utilizing Google sheets/docs, and got myself organized. Committing specific days/times of the week to tasks and activities has been a great way for me to balance my days and weeks, making sure that I’m efficient in my work while ensuring I have time to exercise, and do the things that make me happy.
