We had the good fortune of connecting with Taynah Alves Oliveira and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taynah, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
The biggest habit that has helped me succeed is the belief that nothing is impossible. Ever since I was a child I was adamant about never letting anyone tell me what I was allowed to do or who I was allowed to be. As I get older, this belief keeps getting stronger and I continue to strive for what some believe to be impossible. It’s a mental mind game at times that requires constant check-ins with the self in order to understand if I am still aligned with what I have set out to do. Sometimes I change courses or implement a break, but I never forget to see the bigger picture.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a creative, I focus my attention on using words to relate and communicate with our society the importance of self-healing. Poetry, music, and education are how I engage with my emotions, but also how I allow others to see they are not alone. My blog is created with the intent to expose, provide, and guide others into the many ways we can self-heal. Anything from traveling, to diet, to spiritual practices, and scientific evidence. The goal is to encourage the reader into becoming the best version of themselves.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, a huge shoutout to my cohort, parents, brother, and roommate. Each one of them has given me direction, support, comfort, and safety to strive and achieve the impossible.

Second, my life coach Colleen Coles and my physical therapist Randy. While Colleen helped me align my mind and spirit with my most authentic and empowered self, Randy provided me with the techniques and procedures needed in order for this avatar to embrace its power.

Last but not least, God, or as I like to call it “Something greater”. Through the ups and downs of building a name for myself, the presence of something greater continues to remind me of the light and love we are all born with.
