Hi Shanese, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Free will makes me happy. The ability to allow things that nurture my spirit and growth is a blessing. The ability to disseminate anything sent to destroy my peace is a superpower. Free will, the ability to select what has access to me is my definition of happiness.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Animal Instincts is a natural skincare line focused on enhancing the natural beauty of skin. Our branding and top-quality ingredients sets us apart from other companies. We have the fierce and distinct black and pink tiger logo. Our products have amazing results. I’m really excited about this company’s future.

Building this brand is not easy. It has evolved so much. We started with three products that leaked oils all throughout shipping. Now we are at 30+ products with top notch shipping and packaging. Not to mention, I make every single product by hand. Building this company has taught me, it is okay to make mistakes and don’t be afraid to evolve.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First, I’d like to thank you God for teaching me patience and endurance. The process is painful, but beautiful. The diamond is coming out of the rough. Next, thank you to every friend, associate, and relative from Miami to New York, who continuously supports me, speaks life into me, and prays for me. Animal Instincts Skincare is alive because of you.

My sister-friend, Tatiana also deserves credit. She has traveled from city to city to support me on more than one occasion. I love you to pieces.
