We had the good fortune of connecting with Dani Faig and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dani, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Positive habits are essential to having success in life as they create long-term practices that will allow you to reach your goals. It has been a journey for me to master some of these habits, but the rewards are worth it. These five habits have become part of my everyday life, and I recommend them for everyone to give them a try.
Wake up 1 hour earlier: This time is crucial for me. Now that I have a baby and a business, my days are non-stop. Waking up 1 hour before my day ‘starts’ allows me to prepare for the day, exercise, shower, drink my coffee, and organize my workday.
Good sleep: Waking up rested will change my day completely. When well-rested, I am more focused, more productive, and have more energy during the day. To accomplish this, I have a consistent sleep schedule. I do a relaxing activity before sleeping, like reading or listening to an audiobook, and I avoid caffeine late in the day.
Eating healthy: I eat a very healthy diet Monday thru Friday. Yes, this has become a habit. I am all about balance, I love food and cooking and baking, but when Monday comes, I have a switch that tells me that I need to eat healthy. This habit allows me to feel at my best during the week, be productive, and have positive energy.
One hour a day for personal growth: 1 hour or 30 mins. of learning something new, reading a book, listening to a podcast, or writing my blog. This time is for me to learn something I enjoy, maybe related to my business or just a topic that I am passionate about. It gives me a sense of accomplishment during the day, and learning something you enjoy will keep you motivated during the day.
Active lifestyle: An active lifestyle is a key factor in my success. My days are better when I exercise or do an activity. Many people see exercise or being active as a way of losing weight and getting fit, and yes, that is one of the reasons I do it, but it is more than that. Being active helps me be better physically, but most importantly, it helps my mental health. It makes me feel more confident, and it gives me the energy to succeed.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business aims to promote a balanced lifestyle while inspiring others to find the best version of themselves. I’m constantly sharing recipes, exercises, and tips to encourage you to make positive changes. Changes that work for you and your family, and adapt to your lifestyle and routine. To have positive long-term results, we need balance in all aspects of our lives; in our nutrition, physical health, relationships, and work.
A Balanced Lifestyle is an opposite of the all-or-nothing approach, where everything is good or bad, success or failure. You either exercise every day, or you mess up because you missed a day of exercising. A mentality that stops us from creating good habits.
On my blog, I share tips and recommendations on starting your process to a balanced lifestyle, how to create positive habits, understand the balance you need, and how to avoid the all-or-nothing approach.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is being Authentic!!! Sharing my journey and not comparing myself to others. I’ve learned to love who I am, understand my strengths, and accept my weaknesses. In other words, being self-awaken and unique makes me feel confident, and the more confidence I have, the more I want to accomplish personally and professionally.
I’m so proud of my business, especially since I can use it as a medium to guide you to be better. I have been where you are, and I understand how hard it can be to push forward. I will guide you every step of the way to achieve a balanced lifestyle. You deserve to be mentally and physically healthy to achieve your goals!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I currently reside in the Tampa Bay Area, a beautiful city, and there are many fun activities to do. If my best friend is visiting me, this would be what I would plan for the day. We start the day early, with a long walk/run along Bayshore boulevard. Then, we would have breakfast at Hyde park village; coffee shops have delicious coffee and pastries.
After, we would take the ferry from Tampa to St Pete and enjoy the fun ride and hopefully see dolphins on the way. Once we arrive in St Pete, we would visit the Van Gogh Museum; it is amazing and has the perfect view of the marina. Downtown St Pete is the ideal place to have lunch; it has all types of restaurants and desserts spots to choose from.
St Pete has cute stores where we can spend the afternoon walking around. To finish the perfect day, we should go to the beach, pick one of the rooftop bars and enjoy drinks and dinner while enjoying the beautiful sunset.
