We had the good fortune of connecting with Marta Ziembinska and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marta, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
It was through my own rocky relationship journey. I got married at 29 and divorced at 30, which was my breaking point. At the time, I bought into all the socially constructed beliefs about relationships, so my divorce felt like a failure. I began a downward spiral that led me to the darkest of places. A diagnosis of clinical depression, PTSD, and anxiety followed – the treatment of which addressed the symptoms, but not the underlying, nagging problems. On the surface, I had a smile on my face, a great job, I was busy and active, but I was running on autopilot. I was lonely, crumbling, and so focused on staying alive that I was not really living. I dreamed of love and a healthy partnership but had no idea how to get myself there. I found the dating world challenging, and the relationships I got myself in were even more damaging than my divorce. I knew something had to change, so I reached out for help.
Through trial and error, I found coaches whose guidance helped me entirely transform my life. I lost the medical diagnoses and most importantly, the old stories that were holding me back. I didn’t even know it was possible to feel this transformed. I created a life that I love living, and when I was ready, I also found the love I dreamed of. Love hits differently when it’s healthy, and my relationship today is incomparable to any of my previous ones. Turns out there’s some science as well as magic to love!
When I saw how much I could achieve with the right support and mentorship, I knew I wanted to give back and coach women feeling now like I once was feeling to get their happily ever after. I decided to create a coaching service that makes women feel seen and supported while applying practical tools and science to finding their keepers.
I wanted to put to bed the limiting beliefs and stories about how love and relationships should look like, and the timeframes in which they happen. It’s never too late for love. I’ve seen women find their best relationships in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s. Love doesn’t have an expiry date, and some of the most inspiring couples I know met later in life.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
While working with my coaches, I kept noticing what else I needed, what type of support and how much of it. My journey took three years and three coaches, and I knew it could be smoother and faster if I didn’t have to mix and match or wait for answers to my questions until my next appointment. Along the way, I met many women through groups and masterminds and their experiences and needs aligned with mine. I knew I wanted to become the coach I needed for other women in similar positions. For me this meant, supporting the individual journey of healing, learning to love ourselves and acquiring dating and relationship skills to attract and keep love. It meant daily support, not just from session to session. It meant availability, accessibility and a zero judgement zone. It meant flexible coaching that adapts to the client, not clients adapting to the coaching program.
Through my experience, I discovered my gifts and calling in the world of love and relationships, and my coaching practise keeps evolving. Over the years, I have helped women find love, keep love and even reignite old flames! Today, I coach single women to get their dream relationships, and I help women in relationships navigate their existing challenges and get the spark back. It will never cease to amaze me how a relationship can come back from the rocks when the couple shifts their communication, begins transcending their attachment styles and learns healthy emotional regulation. We keep repeating our unhealthy patterns in relationships until we learn how to break them and I love guiding women through it. Of course, each journey is different, but my dream is to make the leg towards self-love and extraordinary relationships take months instead of years.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I find water and walking in the sand healing, and I caught the surfing bug so it’s always going to be the beach for me!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
This has to be my partner Marcus. His support helped me never give up on building my coaching business. He always patiently listens to me talking about what I’m learning and the tools and strategies I’m developing. Every time I wavered, he was there to tell me how he believed in me and how highly he thinks of my coaching. Maybe it’s because I apply what I teach to our relationship, so he gets to experience it first hand!
He created the circumstances in which I could quit my other job and focus entirely on my coaching, thus meeting my standards for availability to my clients. Without his support, patience and open mind, I would not be have been able to come this far.
