Hi Kelz(lison) “Dr. Kelz”, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
I am passionate about FREEDOM, as a mindset, building L.I.T ( Lifted, Inspired, Transformed) people and leaders within their community while showing everyday individuals how to monetize their gifts and talents to live an Unfiltered life. My purpose is to train mega people, become mega leaders, and impact the world in a mega way. Through music, politics, art, and motivational coaching, my enthusiastic demeanor bridges generational and cultural gaps in leadership with UNFILTERED LOVE.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
A few years ago, I set out on a journey, unsure what I was doing. When I say BE FREE; LIVE YOUR MEGA LIFE, I MEAN IT; the dream is possible, it takes great faith and work, IT IS ATTAINABLE, I am the coach’s coach, the teacher’s teacher, and the trainer’s trainer. Still, I know what God said. I tried it under many different names and everything to be appealing to people but over and over again it was not recognized or received the way I thought it should be, and I definitely wasn’t getting paid. But as time went on, I started to question if heard God correctly. But over and over, Bro ensured that I did

One day, when all Hell was literally after you, boy, I legit went into worship right after my best friend called. I told bro how I felt, and then I started asking him about the characteristics that made me ME … we came up with a few things. I was content with RECKLESS GRACE … but he had mentioned how UNFILTERED and reckless my mouth was … so I slept on it, and at 3 AM, I wrote in my journal UNFILTERED LOVE … and since then it stuck. If you know me, you know I love reading, so I read every book that year I could dealing with love and everything about filters.
But I still didn’t see what God was trying to tell me, so of course, I started analyzing my life and going from a journey to a journey, all while trying not to break down, so I smiled. Most people assumed I was okay, see, but those who knew me saw through all that (have real friends ), so life legit happened. I made terrible choices after terrible choices after choices. I prayed, I cried, and went to church, but that was no answer at all. YES, I SAID NONE OF THAT WAS THE ANSWER … I legit lived delivert (😂😂😂) so long that I had no idea God was preparing me for more … well one day, I decided since I have nothing to live for and not making enough money I might as well lock my self in a hotel room… I turned my phone off I had motived all these people and everyone around me was winning and I could not catch a break… over that weekend I faced ME and I heard God clearly say “bro you don’t think I love you enough to take care of you” and I replied because “you don’t “ then I proceed to legit go off on him an remind him of everything wrong in my life and every time He would in interject I would combat it with another valid point this happened over a course of two days, I was literally tormented I called off work because I didn’t feel like helping other people live there dreams while mine were failing and as I drove I kept hearing BE FREE I would see it posted everywhere and then God said are you ready to talk … in that moment I knew I was whole and not healed and I was FREE not delivered… and from then until now I have developed this training and video and book and quotes that literally transforms lives and I was doing most of it for free … so last year when I decided to brand the idea people were excited until I told them the cost of my time, I heard a lot of criticism, I had a lot of sleepless night, and I even lost and offended people along the way BUT I KEPT WORKING even when it seemed like it was a dumb and pointless … when the lessons were hard and I had to face me everything wrong with me and when I had to love exactly who I was only then it made since … and I would like to see I made a lot of money and people accept my ideas and God just sent me massive income that’s not the case yet … it’s coming tho but after my business plan was rejected and lots of sleepless nights … it’s finally official … thank you God First and foremost and thanks you to each person who I’ve had sessions or consultation with, everyone invited me to speak, all of the organizations who allowed me to align their staff and leadership, everyone who brought a meal prep plan, had me cater a party or dinner plate, to everyone who listens to the podcast, or watches the video likes, shares and subscribes MORE IS COMING …

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly, I am so picky that I will have an entire bar and spread of food set up at my house. I am the chief’s cook. So, if you are even in town, I will cook for you and supply drinks. For this reason, I don’t tell people where I live.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

She values my opinion, even when it’s not what she wants to hear. That is the epitome of humility, and it keeps me humble. When I think of my momma, I think damn, that’s my twin. Her laughter is loud, mid-pitch, contagious, and long; she usually coughs in between then, takes a breath, pauses, and continues to joke. My favorite is her resilience, life has thrown her some curveballs, but she finds a way to create funny moments in her pain and continues to smile. Anyone who has talked to her or has met her knows this to be accurate. No one is a stranger, and you will remember her. When she calls during the earlier hours of moring, usually, I pick up the phone and say, “girl, why you do not sleep” her response “ I just called to say I love you” I am grateful for her always being unapologetically her, and teaching me to be unfiltered.
