We had the good fortune of connecting with Marissa Stephens and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marissa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Freedom; just freedom to do my own thing where it makes me feel happy & those around me. I feel everyone can tap into what they love to do for themselves, it’s just finding what makes them feel good within themselves, play and have fun with it; so for example let’s say you are someone who loves to create art, that in itself is your own abundance you are tapping into, your own freedom to do what you love, create & make money. Freedom is an inside job; creating my own Freedom can not only make difference in my life but it can also make a difference with the people I know around me. They see what I do and then they can see what they can do within themselves to receive their own freedom. It’s not just about me, it’s also about healing & raising the vibration of the earth and collective; it’s about everyone around me who creates there own freedom in their own lives which can create others to lead themselves. I love mentoring because not only I am learning to master lessons and lead myself but I also get to teach and lead others to lead themselves. It’s beautiful.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I laughed at this question so hard; um it definitely was not easy; I am my business- when you pay for a service, you are getting me, essentially. For me it was & still is about my worth, really truly digging into loving myself especially my own darkness, that’s where my power & light shines through, loving every part of me is my own healing, transformational & expansion journey and my business comes along with it. I didn’t grow up in a safe home, so as I turned 21 I gre apart from my family and started finding who I truly am; no doubt about that we are always becoming, we are always healing & expanding. Deeply, its really important to feel safe in your own body so you can feel safe to shine your light; shining my own light on myself especially wasn’t easy but I did it anyways because no matter what I do or say not everyone is going to be apart of it. My journey is long, and still is ; I am only 27 and the things I could say about my life, not everyone would be able to comprehend & still stay so humble. I am currently in the works of writing a book about all my challenges and how I am overcoming them, so I don’t want to say to much about this; my story is still being written. My business in general is about helping women & men feel worthy & love every part of themselves, shine light on their own darkness so they can shine their light even brighter with deep & unique transformations through Embodied Healing & Sensual Energetic Embodiment with Divination & Wellness tools.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Dessert places hahaha; I love food especially dessert – we also would just go restaurant hopping; try out all the restaurants even the betty Lou’s library which is a speakeasy. There’s so much to do in calgary AB especially at night time ….. night time is so beautiful. During the day I would definitely take them the calgary tower where it takes you to their highest floor & there’s a part of it where on the floor on the side the windows are clear so you could see all downtown; and art museums, there’s so many artists here & their artwork are all unique and different

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Omg, I have so many people in my life who have made such a big impact & with so much support. My shout is to two people in my life, 1 of them is my friend & mentor – Suki Eleuterio; she has helped me find the confidence to use my inner voice & Intuitive Channel of wisdom & knowledge that I get to share with my clients, even from today she is a very supportive person in my life. 2nd person i would love to shoutout is my freind & mentor – Brittany Barcellos; she helped me step out of my comfort zone to step into the sensual , confident & abundant woman I am, she is my hype woman who helps me truly get Embodied within myself & not to be afraid to ask for what I want in life – without shame & guilt.
