We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Maritsa Yzaguirre-Kelley, LMHC and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Maritsa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
In my adult career I have only had one job. I don’t want to say that it was a terrible job, but it definitely was a terrible experience for me. I did not feel appreciated either by my employment by the way I was treated or in the way I was financially compensated. It was in those moments of working over time, pushing my brain and body to the limit, with little to no return that I decided working as a full time employee was not for me. I made the decision that I could have a bigger impact, more time, and make more money on my own.

What should our readers know about your business?
We do so many things and the reason is that I really wanted us to be the one stop for health and wellness rather than having to go all around town to get what you need. We offer the physical component with cryotherapy, IR sauna, bio mat, oxygen bar, coaching, and neurofeedback. We offer a training component for personal development, professional certification and business development both online and in person. All of our programs are built to better the whole person in a quick, efficient, and non invasive way.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If you are coming to visit South Florida the beach is always a must. We would start by heading down to Deerfield beach breakfast would be Deerfield Beach Cafe, enjoy some time in the sun then for lunch the crepe cafe never disappoints, and dinner would be my favorite Le Val de Loire Restaurant right over the bridge in the cove shopping center. Day 2 we would spend at OM center for wellness really getting our health and wellness on with a delicious dinner at Malbec Grill next door. Day 3 hit up some shopping over at the Sawgrass Mills mall where you can probably get lost for the rest of the week with outlet shops and cute little restaurants night time fun would be heading over to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Day 4 is for exploring the parks Butterfly World, Tradewinds Park, and Flamingo Gardens. Day 5 it’s time to see our animals we will start north and head south we will start at logger head to see the sea turtles, Palm beach zoo, lion country safari, and stop at Gumbo limbo. Day 6 it’s all about South Beach going down to the beach checking out the scene and grabbing some lunch at one of the many hotels, Day 7 let’s spend the morning at Church by the Glades with pastor Dave followed by heading back down to Miami (The Redlands for a wine tour and brunch at Schnebly Redland’s Winery & Brewery and then on the way back you can’t go home with out dinner at Versailles restaurant some of the best Cuban food.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There is a really long list of people that have helped me on my journey. First I want to thank God and my church, my husband Joe Kelley, my kids, my parents for always believing in my vision, Keloe for being their for my kids while I’m out building and loving on them, my graduate school classmate and now long term friend Kristin Moussa for always helping me to refine my ideas, Dr. Brian Sheen for just being and incredible mentor and opening my eyes up to so much more, Michael and Kayla Stevenson for their classes, support, and friendship, Michelle Pippin for pushing me outside of my comfort zone encouraging me to do things I normally wouldn’t do, and MJ Loudenslager and Rose Cane for first supporting me in business and now becoming such an amazing friends.
