We had the good fortune of connecting with Agnes Topp and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Agnes, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is listening to my clients. Buying a home can be both scary and exciting. As property specialist my main focus is to be there for my clients and listen to their needs. When you truly listen, not only does it help build trust, it also helps you build lasting relationships. Making an effort to always listen has made my clients feel valued and appreciated.

Furthermore I have the pleasure of saying that several of my clients have now become my friends and they’ve referred my services to their family and friends, thus helping me expand my business.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m born and raised Miami, moved to Santa Rosa Beach, Fl during 2020. I’ll be moving back to Miami this summer and continuing the same. I am a Luxury Property Specialist with Corcoran Reverie in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. My career has always had a strong focus in the field of Human Resources. Shortly after moving to the beach in 2020, I joined the Corcoran Reverie leadership team as their Vice President of Strategic Growth. Engaging with other property specialists and learning about the area, sales, and the home buying process; I knew I wanted an adventure outside of the office. Tho sales seemed like a lot of fun it was also a bit intimidating. I’d be starting my own business, setting my own hours and investing in my personal marketing. Basically if I didn’t make a sale, I would not be receiving a paycheck. When you have a family that change in career can be very scary. I spoke with the broker and let her know I’d like to try a new adventure in my career, sales. With Corcoran Reverie’s support and my family’s I launched myself as a Luxury Property Specialist and never looked back. I learned many lessons along the way and overcame many challenges. My biggest challenge was learning how to market myself and the importance of creating my personal brand. It was a lot of trial and error. After giving myself a goal, and working on it each day, I realized that every day I got closer to my goal. My marketing will continue to improve, that’s what practice does, it makes you better.

What I love most about my brand and story, is that I am one of the few Latina realtors in my area. I love being bilingual and helping the local Spanish community achieve their dream of owning a home.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The beach! Santa Rosa Beach or as us locals call it the Emerald Coast, is a travel destination known for its turquoise waters and sugar white-sand beaches. If you’re not spending your day at the beach, then let’s grab our bikes and stroll down 30A for some some sightseeing.

For lunch we’re going to head over to Shunk Gulley’s Oyster Bar, a local favorite. They have my favorite tuna dip! We’ll enjoy some live music, delicious food and the view. Did I mention Shunk Gulley’s has one of the best waterfront views on 30A?

For dinner we want a casual fine-dining restaurant with fine wine and an island vibe. To Café Thirty-A we go. Another local favorite that has been consistently delicious since 1995. Their cocktail selection includes a creative martini menu, which many call the best martinis in the area.

We will finish the night at AJ‘s in Grayton Beach. This laid-back bar draws both locals and visitors. With live music and an eclectic atmosphere this gem never disappoints.

Last but not least we’ll wrap up our week at the 30a farmers market in Rosemary Beach. Every Sunday from 9 to 1 PM both locals and visitors head over to Rosemary Beach. The farmers market averages about 50 vendors each week with a variety of fresh produce, seafood, bake goods, jams, candles, jewelry and more. The perfect place to wrap up your vacation.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There is one special person I owe my success to and that is my husband.

Without my husband I would not be where I am today. His support has been crucial in my success. He believed in me since day one.

Another special shout out would be to my father-in-law. He’s a business owner and has done real estate in the past. He’s been an amazing mentor and early has guided me so that I can find success.
