We had the good fortune of connecting with Ogechi Okwara and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ogechi, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of DEServing Events is the love of God on my business. God has truly blessed DEServing Events. God definitely gave me the drive for this business and has sent some wonderful angels to DEServing Events. We learn everyday with the good and bad feedback we received and it makes us want to do better after each event we do. Being the CEO of DEServing Events is not easy but God gives me the strength to keep the business going. I am so thankful for each client that God gives me. With so many event planners in the Houston area, God continues to bless me with some wonderful clients that wants the best for my business and I am forever grateful to the man upstairs.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
DEServing Events LLC is a certified event planning company that can do just about any event possible. We have been around since 2016 and we take pride in our work; therefore, with experience, admirable coordination, competent staff, and organization skills, we guarantee you a 100% satisfaction when you allow DEServing Events to take charge of every detail of your event.

DEServing Events will make sure that on your special day, you and your guests can enjoy a fun filled event leaving with nothing to do except enjoy yourself! DEServing Events gets so excited to plan events for their clients because it is something that they love to do.We try to bring originality to each of our events depending on our clients wants.
With each event that DEServing Event does, the team learns something new in order to make the next event a success. We are based in Houston, Texas but we are willing to travel should the need arise. Most of our events are weddings but we have not limited ourselves to just that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Houston, Texas will always be home for me and there is so much to do in the area. So many great restaurants in the area and I will go such as KISS, Juliets, any restaurant that makes crawfish, and much more. I love doing happy hour once time permit. I love going to get massages and going to the Spa as well.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
DEServing Events would not be possible without my husband, Chinedu, my two daughters, Aubrey & Alexandria, my DEServing Events team: Nneoma, Audrey, Chika, Florah, Samara, Kemi, Ebony, and Chiamaka, my wonderful clients, and my supporters. I can’t thank each and everyone of you for all the love and support that you all have given me to continue to grow in my business. Your love and support has not gone unnoticed and I pray that God grants each and everyone of you all your heart desires.
