We had the good fortune of connecting with Conor McMullen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Conor, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Mindfulness. It’s been the most critical piece to the puzzle for me. This can be something as simple as a morning journal, or something more involved, like deep meditative work. At the end of the day, it’s about being more conscious of the decisions I make and how they will impact my life and business.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My creative projects all have the deeper focus of bringing more awareness to a world that desperately needs it. My goal with Lucid Project (music & mindfulness lifestyle brand) is to help people discover more of the beauty that life has to offer. Right now, we’ve got some exciting plans in the works for Lucid in Fall 2020, and on a personal note, I just wrote a book about a recent crisis in my life. More than anything, I’m looking forward to the day we can all dance together again.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It’s tough right now with Covid affecting so many of our industries. But when we get to the other side of this mess, here’s my rundown, in no particular order. I’m all about the outdoors, so during the week, we’ll hit the beach for some sun and relaxation. If sand isn’t your thing, we’ve got amazing parks like South Pointe, or urban garden spaces like the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. If you’re looking for a little culture, swing by the Perez Art Museum and finish your experience with a cocktail at PAMM’s Verde (restaurant). Lagniappe always gets rave reviews for its eclectic vibes and musical atmosphere. Broken Shaker is good time. Treehouse, ATV, Space, etc. The best part about living here is that Miami truly has something for everyone.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to give credit and love to my family. Cliché, I know, but they are my biggest advocates and I’m super grateful for them.
