We had the good fortune of connecting with Krystal Todd and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Krystal, is there something you believe many others might not?
“Go to college and get a good job.” I believe that rhetoric has only suppressed people’s dreams because we (As a society in general) define success as going to a great school and working for the best firm. That is an outdated piece of advice because with the help of social media and the internet in general, it is MUCH EASIER to turn your dreams into your career and get your business started for relatively free!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Making YouTube videos is a type of art you may not recognize as such until you press record and see for yourself! What sets me apart is that I offer a mix of great education, entertainment, and put the pieces together regarding everything money related that we aren’t taught in schools. I’m extremely proud of the growth that I have had, partly because of the hard work that I have put in, but also because people are becoming more interested in the way our money works and as more people get educated about the system, the faster we can get the changes we need made! Consistency is the main word that comes to mind when I think of how far I have come. It is very easy to fall victim to instant gratification and quit because results aren’t happening fast enough, but what I have found was that if you keep pushing, you can actually end up with results beyond your wildest dream. I have learned that it is not easy running your own business and you can’t clock out! Enjoying the journey as much as the destination has helped me overcome struggles and get reinspired (if that’s a word). I want the world to know that it is NEVER too late to take control of your finances and learn the tools that can dramatically elevate you not only monetarily, but in all aspects of life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am Caribbean so I would DEFINITELY recommend going to Lallos which is a great spot for Caribbean food and great music with a live band. In true south Florida nature, we would have to visit a beach (or two!) and maybe even go kayaking at Oleta State Park or get some jet skis on South Beach. Night life would consist of either South Beach or Las Olas depending on the mood, or we could catch a drive in movie at the swap shop in Fort Lauderdale. We can end the stay with a visit to Oralé to enjoy some authentic Mexican food with a live performance and great drinks and talk about the great time we had!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
As typical as this may be, my mother! She has supported every.single.choice I have made in building my business and social media presence and shares all my videos (admittedly more than I do at times!) She keeps me grounded and focused and always offers insight. She is someone I can brainstorm with and trust for solid advice.
