We had the good fortune of connecting with Meneftha Pierre and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Meneftha, is there something you believe many others might not?
You don’t have to grind 24/7. Grind and hustle culture is dangerous. Not to minimize the benefits that can come from grinding it out, but there has to be balance. Although I believe working hard to achieve your goals is admirable, part of what you need to get there is discernment. Burn out is real. Rest, recovery, and reflection are essential for success and progress while you’re in pursuit of.
There is no glory in a grind that literally grinds you down to dust – Eve Ewing
What should our readers know about your business?
My business is dedicated to helping individuals and organizations bring their vision to life through events, business development, and project management. I would say what sets me apart is my ability to execute successfully. I take my clients from ideation to execution. I specialize in planning and results!
Currently, I am most proud of passing the Project Management Professional Exam. It is the world’s leading project management certificate and I am happy to say I accomplished a gold standard in the project management and business world.
I am still writing my Neff Level Planning & Events story, but I would say I got to where I am today by working hard, seeking different opportunities, embracing ambiguity, being willing to learn, and maintaining connections and relationships along the way. It was not easy all the time but it has always proven to be worth it to overcome the challenges. To overcome my challenges, I pray, I lean into my support system, and I make a conscious decision to not give up because I have a commission to fulfill.
A few lessons I have learned along the way are:
1. God’s plan for our life is bigger than what we see
2. Somebody’s story doesn’t start until yours does
3. There is strength in walking away
4. Sometimes you just have to rest, the world can wait
5. Make happiness a priority and be gentle with yourself along the way
6. Everyone doesn’t need access to you
I want people to know with my business it’s never just a transaction to me. I strive to change lives through my business by helping people level up and tap into their greatest potential.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
To start off I would take them to the beach! I love the beach and we have so many to enjoy down here. I would include a spa day at Eau Spa for massages and the vibes. A spa day isn’t complete without a facial but because supporting black owned women businesses is important to me, we would visit Kaesthetics or Be Still Skin Spa to top off the day of relaxation. Depending on the time of year since ball is life, an outing to a sporting event is a must while my best friend is visiting.
What’s a trip to South Florida without experiencing the culture and food. To keep it local we could visit Grandview Public Market or Downtown West Palm. Then we would go further south to get into the Miami Streets from Wynwood to South Beach. Eventbrite would definitely be a resource to see if there are any food festivals in town because a girl likes to eat and try new things!
Even though I have lived in South Florida pretty much my whole life there is so much that I haven’t gotten to experience so it would be an adventure for me as well!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
In 2020, prior to the pandemic I was rediscovering myself and going through a rough time personally and professionally. During Super Bowl weekend in Miami I was able to attend a conference for women in sports hosted by GladiatHers®. Although I was super nervous to attend, I am glad that I followed through and showed up! I was surrounded by amazing women from all over! I connected with the Founder Cecelia Townes Tyree, and Marketing Director Charlene Castellanos while there and the rest of history. They reminded me of the goodness in people and really have been instrumental in my current journey. I am grateful for the sisterhood and cheerleaders I have in them!
I would be remiss not to mention my mom, sisters, best friends, therapist, and God. They deserve a lot of recognition in my story. None of this makes sense without them!
