We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Katina Kennedy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Katina, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
In order to carry out your purpose and passion in life you must take care of self first. Habits can be positive or negative. However, habits that helped me succeed are obtaining adequate sleep (at least 6-8 hours), exercise, drinking water, eating at least three meals a day, and partaking in “me” time. The aforementioned habits allowed me to be energetic, creative, dedicated, persistent, and focused in carrying out my ideas. Maintaining a healthy habit routine is vital to all; especially those who are public servants.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love the outdoors!! Partaking in adventurous activities is so much fun!! If I had guest in town, our itinerary would be fun-filled. We would first have breakfast or brunch on the intercoastal. Next we would engage in water sports such as jet skiing and parasailing. Finally, we would tour the water via a private boat while getting a massage, relaxing, enjoying wine, food, great convo, and much laughter while watching the sunset. Now that’s a fun day!!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
