We had the good fortune of connecting with Jay Zeager and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jay, what do you attribute your success to?
Uniqueness, making something that nobody else is making; adding that special creative touch that only an artistic mind can accomplish.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets my work apart from others is that unique artisanal touch that only I can provide. I’m proud that I can advertise truthfully that everything I do, I do it myself; from the vision to the end product. It took me years to be where I’m today, it has not been easy but every day I learn new things that help me go further. In a sea of mass-produced goods, my brand remains true to the meaning of handmade and it will continue on this path.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d take my friend to Wynwood Walls to explore the arts scene, then we’d eat at Love Life Cafe or other vegan restaurant. Personally, I find that animal sanctuaries and art museums are the most interesting places to visit.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to say thanks to all my art patrons and clients who believed in me and gave me an opportunity to share my creations with them.
