We had the good fortune of connecting with Abby Jerome and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Abby, how do you think about risk?
For me, when it comes down to taking risks I always say to just do it! I rather know that I at least pushed myself towards a goal I wanted oppose to never moving at all. Taking risks throughout my life/career has gave me a different type of confidence and trust within myself and God to just go after any and everything I put my mind to. If you believe it, envision it and work for it; there is nothing that can stop you.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The name of my brand is Ceotribe. Ceotribe stands for Creating Every Opportunity Together! My brand is all about representing community in the business world. Networking with like minded individuals and going after goals with people just like you as a tribe. I am most proud of the fact that people understand and support my vision. Ceotribe was birthed because it was what I know I would want and need when starting out a brand from scratch. I am consistent with building connections. I love meeting new people and introducing them to the tribe and what it represents. Business is never easy, however if It truly is your passion, its worth it! Overcoming challenges really came down to revisiting why I got started in the first place. Sometimes you have to go back to the feeling you had in the beginning to remember why you are doing what you are doing! A lesson I have learned along the way is, just keep going. If you don’t believe in your brand, who will? I want the world to know that ceotribe is an open community always looking to meet new people and help others with their start up brands, The whole message to the literally CREATE EVERY OPPORTUNITY TOGETHER.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If a friend was visiting the city we would first most likely spend our days exploring new food spots because I am a foodie. The best places to visit in Miami for food spots are Downtown, Brickell, Wynwood & anything by the beach honestly. Brunch vibes are definitely popular here in Miami so I’d make sure they get that experience. A sweet tooth gem to visit would be this churro food truck, Santodulcechurros! I also love anything with water so we would definitely go by the beach whether it be to just relax, maybe do a boat tour around the city or jet skiing. Miami is also known for its art, so taking my friend to places like Wynwood or Miami design district would definitely be on the list. Me and my friends are very spontaneous so we may plan some things but we also like to let the rest of the day take its course; they always turn out the best.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
God! To be completely honest, I can sit here and name every last supportive family member, friend, mentor, etc but I wouldn’t be anywhere without God! So shoutout to the realest MVP in my life who never has steered me wrong, who has always pushed me to go harder and grow into the masterpiece he has created me to be. God is the one who put this purpose and fire in my heart. This desire to help as many people as possible and impact as many as I can isn’t a dream I created on my own but it will happen because of him.
