We had the good fortune of connecting with Adam Klein and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adam, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
There is always the uncertainty and risk that one contemplates when wanting to start your own business, and this was no different for me. At the time, I was currently working for a company where a partnership between myself and the owner was being discussed but unfortunately after a year of discussions things didn’t pan out. After that year, I thought to myself do I want to continue working hard for someone else or do I put this same energy into my own company and take the risk on myself. I will always bet on myself because even if things get tough, you struggle, you have your ups and downs, but in the end, IT’S YOURS.
What should our readers know about your business?
Nothing in life is ever easy when you start a company from scratch, I pulled out my credit cards and decided to go for it. My company had multiple transitions and learning curves when I first started it. In the beginning we provided DJs, Master of Ceremonies, Lighting, and Prop Fabrication. Over time, we added Audio Visual, Draping, and began to focus more on Custom Designed Props. Over the years, I began to realize “Lets focus our attention on being the absolute best in designing and building Custom Props and Event Decor.” At that point, we transitioned and began focusing our attention to the decor needs for Corporate and Social Events. Our main priority is to be unique and always deliver the highest quality fabrication and decor to meet our clients needs. Not only does our quality and attention-to-detail set us apart from our competitors, but also our flexibility to work with each client to meet their budget and assist them with any other event need they may have. Being in the event industry for over 20 years has allowed me to develop partnerships with other trusted vendors that we know will deliver the quality our clients are looking for.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
1st Stop: Alchemist (fort lauderdale) then: YellowGreen Market to walk around (hollywood) then: FMA obstacle course gym (miami) then: Cao Bakery for CUban Food and COffee then: South BEach (Lincoln road) then: Eddie Hill Thais House (Hallandale beach) then: WHOKNOWS?
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My grandfather always said “don’t depend on nobody for nothing.” My family has always taught myself and my siblings to believe in yourself and to push for success, regardless of the challenges that it may bring along the way. My shoutout belongs to my family for always believing in me, pushing me to be the best that I can be even when they might have thought that I was taking a risk, they never stopped supporting me on my dreams.
