We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrienne Jenkins Hunt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adrienne, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I think I’ve always been around people with an entrepreneurial spirit. I remember my grandfather built a little store right in front of his house. As I got older I recognized that in my conversations with people they would have some really good small business or side-hustles but would be missing that one things that could really help them thrive. As I began to pitch them ideas, I became the go-to person in my circle when people had business related questions. I recognized an opportunity and created Hunt’s Business Solutions. It’s my effort to help entrepreneurs solve common business challenges.

Over the course of helping entrepreneurs I also recognized that many needed some personal development coaching as well. Often we become stuck when we are building our businesses because we neglect to deal with issues from our past. Often with a little coaching and a strategic plan, my clients are able to move forward in their life and business.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a Business and Personal Development Coach I find myself doing a lot of writing. As much as I can, I try to use original content to help my clients navigate their current challenge. This strategy has lead me down the road of authorship. Over the course of the business I have written three book. I found it interesting that they are all from the personal development genre until I recognized that often to solve a business challenge we must deal with a personal roadblock that keeps us from succeeding.

To get where I am today, I’ve enrolled in coaching certification courses so that I could blend the skills that I learned in the class with my degree in Human Resources and my experience as a trainer in corporate world. I learned that by rolling the totality of who I am as a person with my previous experiences helps me to coach from a place of authenticity.

I don’t think any level of success is easy. But my faith in God and my faith in myself has helped me when things get frustrating. I’ve learned that in the middle of crisis if I can just stop, breath and pray I will become centered enough that I can find the strategy that addresses the challenge of the day.

I am most excited about my latest book ‘Dear Adrienne: 7 Letters to My Younger Self’. I’ve taken seven lessons that I’ve learned in my life and packaged them in a way to help others. And because I’m building my brand as The Strategy Lady, the book offers a few practical exercises to help the readers along their life’s journey. I want to always be able to offer a solution to help make things better.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would head straight to the beach because how do you come to Florida without going to the beach!

I love history so I would take them to the African American Museum of the Arts in Deland, The Bronze Kingdom African Museum in Orlando and we would take a tour of St. Augustine.

My must eat places are Dixie Crossroads in Titusville, Abuelos Restaurant in Kissimmee, Maggiano’s Little Italy in Orlando and Nikki’s Place Southern Cuisine in Orlando.

We would fill up the rest of the week with shopping.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would have to dedicate my shoutout to my husband Robert Hunt. Right from the start he has given me such amazing support. He provided the money I needed to get started and whenever I felt like giving up he would look and me and say “I’ve got you babe”. When life threw us curve balls, and there were many, he always was there with encouraging words.

I’m a lover of books. It I had to choose a few that helped really helped me form the basis of my business it would be ‘Start With Why’ by Simon Sinek. I’ve learned that if you can always remember your “why” you won’t stray too far from your original goals and passion.
