We had the good fortune of connecting with Agustin Oliva and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Agustin, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I’m the type of person that likes to think through everything logically. What is the risk that I’m taking and what is the potential reward? For example, I apply this way of thinking to my driving every day; should I speed down this empty road? Risk/reward: speeding ticket from hidden cop, potential loss of $, ID points, insurance increases, etc. or if nothing happens I’ll arrive at my destination about 2-3 minutes earlier.
I apply logical reasoning to any situation I’m in and base my decision on the risk/reward ratio.

Taking risks has played a huge role in my life and career. I love taking risks, and pushing myself for better.
When thinking about my entrepreneurial career, I’ve made many mistakes, and each of those provide a learning opportunity. Not only do I learn from my mistakes, but also the mistakes of others. Ensuring that I take calculated risks to give myself the highest probability of success is key to making the right decisions, as well as being open-minded, researching, and outsourcing to specialists when facing challenges.
The thought of taking a risk may be frightening to some people, but understanding exactly what is at risk is key to making the decision of taking that risk or not. Usually it’s time, money, and opportunity cost; and the value of your time is up to you.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Argentine Beef Grass Fed is different from your typical meat at your local store for obvious reasons, our meat is from Argentina, where meat is prized to be among the best in the world. Not only that, but we guarantee that our beef is fully grass fed. Sometimes, you’ll see “grass fed” on a package, and that meat isn’t fully grass-fed, it’s only grass-finished; meaning they enclose their cattle in feedlots and feed them grain and other ingredients that are not a part of their natural diet in order to get them nice and big, and then let them roam free for about a week consuming grass, and they label that grass-fed. Unfortunately, there is no current USDA regulations surrounding the “grass-fed” term, but we take it very seriously. Our ketogenic customers love that we take it seriously because grain is against the keto diet.
Not only is our beef of the best quality, but we deliver anywhere in the US, and Florida residents can receive their order as fast as one business day.

As any entrepreneur will tell you, it’s not easy to get your business off the ground. You’ll face challenges that you have no idea what to do, and nobody is going to help you. So what do you do? You research and seek professional help if necessary until you solve your problem, and move on.
Some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way is that in order to be successful, you have to want it more than anything. That being said, creating a healthy work-life balance is key. As a small business owner, there’s always something to do, like enhancing SEO, improving marketing efforts, analyzing data, making the webpage more user-friendly, adding products, creating discounts, interacting on social media… just to name a few. If you wanted to, you could bury yourself in work for days, weeks and months without being socially active, and that is certainly not good for you or your business.

At Argentine Beef Grass Fed, we have an unforgettable, trademarked seal on each of our products. This way you can identify quickly what is top quality beef by simply looking at it. Our mission is to give our customers confidence that they are consuming responsibly raised, fully grass-fed, Argentine beef.
Our cattle graze the Pampas Argentina, which is known for its unique pasture and rich grass.
I’m from Argentina, and growing up I didn’t quite understand the praise Argentina had for its beef. As I got older I learned about the grading of meat in the US, “select, choice, and prime” and realized that prime is supposed to be good quality meat. After trying prime meat, I knew something had to be done. Prime, which is supposed to be the top quality, is not even close the quality of meat in Argentina. Today, if you go to your local store, and compare that prime steak with the our grass fed steak of the exact same cut, you will be blown away at the difference.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Miami, the beaches, the night life, Miami Spice restaurants (in August and September), parks, free public yoga sessions on weekends in Miami, networking events from Upstream, and that’s only south Florida.
