We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Vega and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andrea, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Mainly it was seeing myself with the ability to create my own life, nurturing myself from all the experiences, going through fear and trusting in my abilities and skills as a person and as a photographer, I have always wanted to help others with their own businesses through audiovisual so that they can show and communicate the essence of your brands
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a food photographer and Foodstylist, I love food, colors, flavors and textures, I am excited by the possibility of creating images from different combinations and making them look so attractive and delicious on camera that your mouth waters just seeing them
I seek to differentiate myself by being authentic and deeply connecting with people, with their being, their feelings and their vision of life and thus achieve co-creating projects that deliver value and positive experiences to customers and users.
I got to where I am after leaving my comfort zone after 13 years in an office job that I did not enjoy and where I could not be creative and also motivated by living new experiences like living in another country, I decided to let go, detach myself on a material level and personal to follow a path of transformation, it is not easy but it is possible, learn to believe in yourself in your abilities, in your brilliance and always visualize what you want to achieve enjoying the path and the present moment.
The lessons I have learned apart from detachment have been to love myself much more and always look inside myself and listen to my heart to make every decision and every step, be happy and love everything you are and what you do.
I want people to know that in this life we came to be happy to enjoy the present moment and that we can learn to embrace and go through the fears and limiting thoughts that do not let us flow as the beautiful and light-filled beings that we are each and every one. of the people who are on this earthly plane
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Miami is wonderful, I love its diversity and the different options. When my friend arrives, if he is hungry, I would take him to eat at Moshi Moshi and then enjoy a quiet time in Oasis having a cocktail or beer, a day at the beach is a must, I really like the North Beach area and enjoy the Oceanside Park beach and have a picnic there all day relax mode, at night there is also magic so my favorite places at night are Coyo Taco on Wednesdays with the Dubwise reggae party, la tripical, boho Miami and the Anderson son my favourites, it is also very fun and beautiful to walk around Wynwood exploring the independent art and design shops and still hanging out at Wynwood Market place it offers various options for food, drinks and also commerce, I love it. Another day I would take my friend to see some of the Coconut Groove and Coral Gables areas, I love his slightly more bohemian and calm energy, then I would take him to see the Vizcaya museum, my other favorite place that I would never get tired of visiting, another ideal beach day it would be in key biscayne on the beach where the lighthouse is a very beautiful place that surrounds an interesting history and in the last few days I would invite you to take a short road trip to key west and cycle through its streets and visit its small and cozy bars and restaurants
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Of course , that person to recognize and thank infinitely is my mother , a wonderful woman who has always trusted me and has given me all her love and unconditional support and I also highlight a book that I think we should all read one day The Secret of Rhonda Byrne as a tool and guide to learn how to build a full, abundant and happy life
