We had the good fortune of connecting with Jhanai Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jhanai, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind my business was that i wanted to help people build their brands with the proper graphics to show case what they are selling. part of being a graphic designer you are somewhat held responsible for a small percentage of peoples brands. so I always just wanted to able to help people get a jump start on their business. Its always been my motivation as far as my thought process goes.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being a creative graphic designer was never and it will. EVERY single day you are at home expanding your mind trying to find ways on how to separate yourself from others.. especially when there are other artist in the world, or in your city doing the same thing as you. here in Miami there is lots of graphic design artist and i am very big fans of them all, i love to see everyone grow and enhanced their skills as artist. i look at it as friendly competition and as a way for all of us to push each other and become better. ive learned many lessons, have had ” creative block ” and it times like that you just look at others for inspiration, or you do things to clear your mind.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Lol this question is pretty good. one of the few spots that me and my friends like to hang out at is tootsies, that’s pretty much a spot a lot of us in Miami like to hang out in for starters. there’s also Hollywood beach which is really nice hangout spot especially with Miami’s weather. for drinks there is many spots , Lime, tootsies, ghost bar, Bahama breeze, ETC. there’s many many spots for drinks. for site seeing, there is plenty museums in Miami such as Artechouse Miami, Zoo Miami, Museum Of Illusions, Frost museum. And more

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes there is a few people i would like to dedicate a shoutout too, 1 being my mother, when i first started my business she was the only one that believed in me .. when i first quit my job to start my mom helped me purchase all my equipment just so i can get started. Always was there to let me know that in due time my business would explode and here we are today. second would be my good friend // fellow graphic designer by the name of Paraoine. Always lead by example by teaching me tips and tricks about graphic design. also taught me a lot about dealing with clientele when business is slow and when business is fast. I will forever be grateful for her & how she never hesitated to lend me a helping hand when in need. third would be a good friend of mine by the name of Kayla also known as K.quinzelcouture, every time i wanted to quit when business was hard or times was hard she was always there to let me know that everything would be fine and eventually would pick back up. So for that i am very grateful and thankful for her today.
