We had the good fortune of connecting with Angelica Partidas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angelica, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I show myself as the most authentic as I possibly can through social media.
Something that I stand by and always create awareness about is that you don’t have to be afraid to do the things that you want, do them without waiting for “The perfect time”.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The confidence and experience age gives me to approach life and social media sets me apart, I can say that with confidence. One of the things that makes me proud is seeing that up to this date thanks to my effort I’ve had the honor of working with big and well known brands, and I also think it’s remarkable how I’ve been welcomed by these big name brands, it feels surreal. I will say the road is not an easy one, I mean when I was born the technology we have nowadays was out of the picture. I like to stay up to date with everything that goes around me, I like to evolve with society and technology. Like I said, the road has not been easy because there are so many people doing the same, and I knew I had to knock on many doors knowing that a “no” was possible. Regardless of it, I kept going. One of the lessons I’ve learned is to not to take anything personal and to stay focused on what you believe in. I want to encourage younger people to not to be scared of getting old, and that any age or any time is a good time to start what you propose yourself. There will be rocks along the way, but it’s up to us to walk pass by them or kick them out of the way to stay focused!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to beach right away! As an influencer I’ve had the honor of trying so many restaurants and different places that they would have to stay a whole year hahah. But if I had to choose one place for lunch it would be Fratelli La Buffala, right across the beach, the carpaccio is out of this world. At night, El Tucán would be perfect, the food is amazing and the whole experience is a show, you can eat, drink and hang out. And last but not least we would definitely go to R House for fun night and delicious food! When it comes to shopping they would have to stay another year!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have a team that thanks to all of them, and my own effort and persistence, and passion, I’m where I’m at. Thanks to my daughter Mary for introducing me to this world and being a teacher. Thanks to my daughter Maria Beatriz for supporting me through all the chapters of this life and always being there for me. Thanks to Calvin for being there when I wanted or needed photos for countless of hours. We are all a team and when we work together the outcome is beautiful and honest. And I would also like to shoutout all of my followers that have supported me with words of kindness and love!
