Meet Arianna Baker | Woman’s boutique & Child boutique owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Arianna Baker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Arianna, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I am the owner of Arianna Baker Collection. I am a women’s clothing boutique that is all online!

I have anywhere from clothes that are appropriate for work or clothes that will make you turn heads on a night out on the town. I try and buy clothes with many different styles in mind. I’d like to think that I am a one-stop shop for a diverse group of women, from petite to curvy.

To know me is to know anything with fashion, and that’s materialistic I love. I have a little girl boutique that I absolutely love, but I still knew I needed to do something more than I was really passionate about; I love dressing up and dressing down, & I thought what would be better to dress in my own clothing as well as help others pick out outfits for different occasions. My official launch happened the day my billboard went up, June 27th, 2022. This is when I told everyone! I decided to get the word out by doing a billboard & it was the best decision ever. I made over $3,000 in the first three days it was put up. Super blessed at the turnout so far since last year.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Listen to your customers! I have been able to really connect with my customers through live sales, and I also keep communication very open between us. I tell them to reach out to me if they have any constructive criticism or ideas. You would be so surprised at the ideas they come up with to help your business grow!

As a specific example, I’m able to connect with customers before they even purchase by seeing what they have in their cart by using the Shopify website platform, also feedback from my customers even after they purchase or even potential customers’ feedback.

Most of all, I would say Be yourself! That is one thing that no one can duplicate or take from you. I make sure to be transparent with our customers and keep them in the loop weekly with new items or answering questions! I want to start doing Monday night chats and tell them updates and info that I would want to know. I love having that close connection with my customers. They always know that I am going to be 100% real with them.

My mission was to make every woman of any and every shape from petite to plus size feel beautifully comfortable in their skin & inspire and encourage others, especially single women with children, to reach for their dreams and never give up!

I offer clothing from small to 5X, and no matter what body type purchases my clothing, they’ll rock it no matter smaller built or curvier & that’s what I wanted to accomplish behind my clothing. I have looks from date night, vacation vibe, out on the town, and even wedding apparel.

My clothing comes off very elegant and with class, even my items that show skin I wanted my name to represent that you can be “Sexy” but still be a woman with class, Arianna Baker Collection stands on class with elevating confidence all in one.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If we are in Grand Rapids, MI. I’d likely take my best friend to the Chophouse a very elegant steak house, walk downtown on the historic blue bridge over the water. JW Marriott also has one of the best spa’s, can’t go wrong with a spa day.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate my shoutout to my three kids Avah, Arabella, & Acen. They push me everyday to be greater than the day before. To always strive for what more I can be great in. To hear them say “Wow mom you have two stores, & a cookbook in a bookstore, that’s so cool!” I want them to grow up with a hustle mindset and a strong independent heart. As my two daughters are doing so well in their child boutique store Gloss Babes. So proud of them!
