We had the good fortune of connecting with Armando Hernandez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Armando, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Calculated risks are a critical part of the formula to success in just about any endeavor. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Scared money doesn’t make money. You have to take risks and be different. If you do the same thing everyone else is doing, you will get the same results. Along the same lines, preparation, hard work and dedication coupled with the vision of being open to opportunity when it comes knocking is elemental. One of the most fruitful experiences in my career came about waiting in line at an ATM and taking a chance to introduce myself to someone and give them my business card, which would dramatically alter the course of things to come.

Mundo Boxing is a storied boxing and professional combat sport enterprise.

Mundo Boxing Promotions is based in Miami, Florida. The President of Mundo Boxing Promotions — Armando G. Hernandez — is an attorney and licensed promoter. Mundo Boxing Promotions’ objective is to continue to present, organize and/or facilitate sporting and/or cultural events with a global reach. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Miami. The 305. Without question. Boxing, combat sports, Heat nation, the Super Bowl, the Dolphins, the Marlins, Panthers hockey, Intermiami soccer, Homestead Speedway, Canes and other collegiate sports, CrossFit and powerlifting, and much more.

Miami is a hub for Latin America, the different hemispheres and worldwide. It provides a wealth of riches, sights, character, dynamics, and the like, to be the envy of any spot on the planet. It continues to grow at an exponential rate as the future epicenter of combat sports.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Mundo Boxing has a core mantra which is “The Family Team.” It symbolizes that the the whole is greater than the individual parts. No one person can triumph alone. It takes a team or even better a family team.
