Hi Armando, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Armando G. Hernandez is the founder and managing partner of The Law Offices of Armando G. Hernandez. The Law Offices of Armando G. Hernandez is a 100% minority owned law firm. The creation of “Ayudame Armando” is dedicated to serving the Latino community, specifically addressing the needs of Latinos, Hispanic-owned businesses, providing effective, efficient and professional legal representation, and much more. Inequalities in the workplace, disparate treatment, discrimination, a disconnect between the upper echelons of power and the clients are all too common in the practice of law as well as other fields. “Ayudame Armando” aims to strip all of that away to provide a relatable, premium and enjoyable experience to the clients. With Miami as the hub for Latin America and the world, as well as the epicenter for sports, music and culture, it is important for law firms to reflect the rich diversity that built the 305 and is ever-present when traversing the streets of South Florida.

Driven by an entrepreneurial desire to run a 100% minority owned law firm, advance my unique brand of litigation, and serve the South Florida community and my own clientele, I founded The Law Offices of Armando G. Hernandez. I now focus my multi-faceted litigation practice in the following areas of law: product liability, medical malpractice, personal injury, automobile negligence, trucking accidents, catastrophic damages, traumatic brain damages, wrongful death, injuries/death involving minors, premise liability, first/third-party property claims, construction litigation, commercial litigation, professional negligence, criminal, and appeals.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the founder and managing partner of The Law Offices of Armando G. Hernandez. I focus my law practice in the areas of product liability, medical malpractice, personal injury, automobile negligence, motorcycle accidents, cyclist accidents, trucking accidents, catastrophic damages, traumatic brain injuries, wrongful death, injuries or deaths involving minor children, premise liability, negligent security, first party commercial and residential property claims, construction litigation, commercial litigation, sports and entertainment law, professional negligence, criminal, and appeals.

I have extensive trial experience in multi-million dollar exposure cases in state and federal courts nationwide, including Florida, Georgia, California, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Texas, and other jurisdictions. He has successfully handled appeals in state and federal courts.

I have received the following accolades for my work and dedication as a litigator: Daily Business Review’s Most Effective Lawyer (Product Liability) in 2011 and 2015; Florida Super Lawyer’s Rising Star (2015-2018); Florida Legal Elite Up & Comer (2014-2016); Top 40 Under 40 from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (2015); HYPE Go Getter Award Finalist (2015, 2016). Nothing has been easy. Nothing has been given. Everything has been earned. There may be other folks out there taller, stronger, faster, more athletic, smarter, better looking than me but I am confident there are few folks on this planet that work as hard as I do. I refuse to be outworked. I am a firm believer in the following mantras: 1) Luck favors the prepared. 2) Excuses are the nails that build the house to failure. 3) Plant seeds of goodness into the world and you shall reap a mighty bounty. 4) It is better to be the head of a rat than the tail of a lion.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a loyal fan of the Miami Heat. I genuinely enjoy the exhilarating atmosphere of the Miami Heat arena.

Also boxing. I am the attorney for a world-renown boxing trainer. I have always been extremely passionate about the sport of boxing. I feel that it brings to life some of the greatest parts of the human story – triumph, victory, defeat, struggle, hard work, dedication, discipline, determination, focus, etc. at the highest levels.

In terms of food, Miami has transformed into a hotspot for some of the best cuisine in the entire world.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to recognize my mother (Xiomara) and father (Armando Hernandez) who made a great deal of sacrifices to enable me to succeed in all aspects of life. They believed in me when no one else did. They instilled core value and beliefs that continue to serve me today. My work ethic, grind, and all my successes are directly attributable to them and serve as manifestations of my gratitude to them.
