We had the good fortune of connecting with Arthur McDonald Jr and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Arthur, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is being personable, vulnerable and having an understanding of a clients needs.
Building trust in the process and making clients comfortable in the journey instead of just focusing on the moment.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My goal isn’t to necessarily stand out but to be the best person I can be to better serve my clients and clients of the future. Being vulnerable in the process of serving others and executing their needs through my skills.
I first started out in graphic designing which made it an easy transition into photography then videography a few years later.
It wasn’t an easy process juggling life and business in the beginning but having mentors to guide and advise really helped A LOT.
Over the years I’ve learned that being humble, understanding of life, people and the process is necessary to evolve into the best person you can be, for yourself and your clients. Be true to yourself and keep pushing forward no matter what comes your way.
Whatever you work towards, good or bad, will eventually come to pass. Lastly, BE GREAT. ALWAYS.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Here in South Florida the beach is a must. Secondly would be GQ’s Craft House for a warm and inviting family vibe for drinks, food and games. It’s also a great networking spot for people across many avenues of business. I like to say you can meet someone there that can help you with any life problem you may have.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe a lot of my success to two of my mentors who played a major role in the way I approach and handle business.
The first person I’d DJ GQ. Not only is he a very successful celebrity DJ but he is also one of the most humble and selfless people I know. His advice throughout the years has helped me grow as a person in many ways.
The second person is Joshua Wood of Joshua Kane Photography. Another selfless and humble person who has seen the potential in me and took me under his wing in the photography scene. He has the science of the photography business and the skills needed to be able to connect with people in a way that is mesmerizing. I’ve learned so much from working with him over the years. He also has a major role in the person I’ve grown into today.
I appreciate them both more than they can imagine. Love you guys!
