Meet Ashley Torres | Owner of Fluent Hippie.co

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Torres and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I Decided to Pursue an Artistic or creative career to allow myself the chance to express my passions with the world and create something out of it. Growing up I was very involved with Fashion and sewing, so this really helped me to continue to learn more about the different outlets within Art and create a professional lifestyle out of it.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is my Statement Jewelry Pieces that I create. When I create my pieces I find inspiration from rave culture, Goddess Energy and the aroma of nature. I include elegant yet fun and vibrant elements to each of my Jewelry pieces. You can style each piece for every occasion whether it may be for a music festival or going out for a fun night with your best friends. I am mostly excited about the growth of my business. I got to where I am today professionally by staying patient with myself because like most we can try to rush progress and lose out on your current growth, so staying patient, consistent and holding myself accountable to get things done has become very beneficial to overcoming any challenges that has come my way. Some lessons I have learned along the way has been to know that if you doubt yourself, you are keeping yourself from growing in every way, another lesson has been to make sure that all details within your business, products or even packaging is very important when starting a business because it shows professionalism. One thing I would like the world to know about my brand and my story is that My Journey was only possible by ignoring those people who said Art isn’t a true career.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My Best friend has visited the area for a week and I want it to be a very relaxing yet fun vacation. We will start the week off by setting up a three day girls spa trip to the Carillon Miami wellness resort from Monday- Wednesday with hot Stone messages and complimentary wine drinks, then ending the afternoon getting some dinner at pink taco on Miami Beach. On Thursday, We would start our morning with a sunrise yoga session on the beach and smoothies for breakfast at smoothies king. We would later go to Wynwood and have a great time at the Vincent Van Gogh experience and the art walks around the town. We would later grab ice cream at Sugar Daddy ice cream shop and get matching purple waffle cones with birthday cake ice cream. Then we begin heading back our hotels. On Friday we would begin our morning with another sunrise beach yoga session and head over to Inkaholik Tattoo shop in Kendall Miami to get some matching tattoos and head off to the aquarium at Frost science Museum and end the night with some dinner at our favorite spot Pink Taco. On Saturday morning we began with morning homemade facials and head to the beach afterwards. We also got some morning coffee at a mom and pop shop, As we enjoyed our afternoon on Miami beach we watched the sunset and relaxed by the water to wine down as she prepares to leave on Sunday morning.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a loving shoutout to a wonderful soul, Maria Victoria. She has played a major inspirational role within my Journey. Her kindness has always pushed me forward, I’ve knew her for a long time now and she deserves greatness. Please checkout her beautiful swimwear brand Victoria Leon for empowering and sustainable pieces.
